Was there a Hunchback of Notre Dame ride?

Back in the spring of 1996, I thought I saw them building a Hunchback of Notre Dame ride at Disneyland. Was there ever such a ride?

They never had a ride for the Hunchback but they did at one point have a really cool show called the Fesival of Fools. It was back in the Frontier Land area behind Thunder Mounain.

Unless I am very much mistaken, that show moved to the Disney-MGM Studios. I saw the DL version when it was running a couple of years ago, but keep skipping the Studios version, since it looks so much the same.

The WDW version is very different from the DL version & far superior. It's still running & as of our last trip in May still had the same great actor playing Quasi since it opened. He is so good he could star on Broadway. I strongly recommend anyone going to WDW to catch this show.
