We are family of six (2 kids, mom and dad, and grandparents) who were booked two rooms at Dolphin. Things change, and now we are looking to stay offsite in one 2 or 3 br suite to save some money. Here are the amenities we need:

Close proximity and easy access to WDW
2 separate sleeping areas and sleeping area for kids (sofabed)
kitchen area to store stuff for brkfst and juices and snacks
nice pool area w/slide and kiddie area (kids are 6 and 3)
nicely decorated grounds and maybe tropical motif
continental brkfst- but w/kitchen would not be necessary
good nightly rate ( We had Dolphin for 139 each room)

have you considered renting a house??

we are going with the kids and inlaws 8 people total and have rented homes with a private pool in the past and we are again in Oct

the room to spread out is great
a full service kitchen and laundry make for a wonderful stay

there are several locatd within minutes of disney
and make for a relaxing way to enjoy your stay:D

Go to hotelkingdom.com and try the Cypress Pointe condos. We really loved staying there and it seems to meet your criteria. Lots of info on this board about Cypress Pointe--just do a search. Have a great trip!
