the way the bills worked during the last week?
First two meals, we were given the itemized bill with a place for tip to be written in. (I paid tips in cash.). The server took this and returned with a zeroed out copy.
Every meal after that, we were simply given a single paper copy that had no spot for tips at all, then we received a zeroed out receipt that stated how many meal entitlements were left and had me print and sign the receipt. No place to write in tips though the 18% and 20% suggestions were still listed on the original receipt showing amounts.
Just curious if it changed or it merely varied by restaurant and we happened to go to those with a streamlined process. I just thought not having a spot to write in the tip was odd. Or, a third possibility, if they saw that my KTTW card did not have charging privileges and they just assumed I'd be tipping in cash?
We had wonderful service everywhere we went, BTW
