NEW Rejected Offers Thread

One passed at $85 and two passed at $90 in the past few months. One got snatched up at ROFR at $95. You are making a mistake and playing into the broker's hands if you let one action by Disney set your price floor.
They also took one for Saratoga at $125 which is wild but I don’t think most will be offer $130 for SSR anytime soon. Price is one factor that may make a contract more at risk for ROFR but I personally wouldn’t let ROFR drive my offered price.

This is a fair point. They RoFRed SSR at $125 last month. So many sell for way less, especially stripped. Following this brokers advice and logic what’s the right bid for a Saratoga contract? Remember the broker doesn’t get a commission on a non sale and the percentage they get is for more $$ if the sale is at a higher price. Be patient and you’ll get the right deal.

Edit: didn’t see the reply before this which said the exact same thing lol

I work in policy/advocacy and consistency of messaging is important 😂

I’m just happy I don’t have to go through a cavity search at WDW to get into the parks like I do at Disneyland….
Or when the security guy is over the top that morning and annd goes through every single crevice of the stroller and bags and makes your daughter cry because she tried to bring in a tiny chair that has a tray for my granddaughter to eat. She was under 1 but doesn’t eat baby food she eats real food and feeds herself so having it was needed.

I understand that length of security is an annoyance for everyone and adds to an already hectic time of your vacation. But I try to remind myself that there are real reasons that these steps are necessary. I've visibly seen large pocket knives confiscated at the gates. I'd rather them be thorough and make the place as safe as possible. If you want to get through quickly or have a reservation, arrive earlier.

and then you go to WDW and they just let you walk in…. do those checks no catch knives?

I agree security is very important (even if the sniper towers around the area make me nervous) but there’s no reason they need to hire so few people to do bag check. It’s often bad from VGC, it’s much worse from VDH, and sometimes it takes more than 20m to get from the parking lot escalator to the esplanade because of the combination of security and tram lines.

Disney could expedite all of these waits, but has decided to save money instead.

The security stations are chronically understaffed, and I often feel are theatrical primarily in nature, and the "treatment" you receive can vary wildly it seems based on the agents...

So much of it makes little sense as well...

At least this is the theory I'm working with: I'm pretty sure this is about collecting large numbers of points in the same units so the points can be chopped up anyway they like. Points are always tied to units. If DVD has 50 points in Unit 1 and 50 points in Unit 2, they can only resell 50 point contracts. If they have 1000 resale points collected into a single unit, they can make any kind of contract a buyer wants (up to 1000 points). If you have a modest sized contract regardless of price DVD isn't likely to take it if it isn't in a target unit where they are already amassing points. Note: if you have a large resale contract, maybe they take that as a starting point to start a new target unit. And if you have a cheap VGC contract, they'll probably take that because they can resell any sized contract (often the same day) associated with GC.

Yes he does have his own login to DVC, but he knows he shouldn't use it 😄 I don't need him messing up any reservations! And he has his own MDE account too.
LOL, my DH knows not to use his either, without my knowledge, at least!

Sorry he doesn’t get Welcome Home! at the tapstyles. I thought that if he had a DVC login and an MDE account showing the DVC membership, it would work. Obviously I was wrong! What about a MagicMobile Pass in his smartphone wallet?

Maybe the AP colors override the DVC effect. I'm confused by this as well. I get purple (typically, I think, this is DVC) and green (means you're good to go in) at the tapstyles, but no welcome home. Unsure.
