Was I wrong in not telling a CM this?

2 weeks ago, we were at the Tranportation and Ticket Center and I had to use the restrooms right before you head to the boat dock. When I walked in I saw 3 guys, MAYBE 21... looked a little younger trying to be sleek pouring budweiser into a a 20oz can of Arizona Iced tea. They looked panicked when I walked in. I think they taught I mighta been undercover Security. I just laughed and did my business. They then finished their deed. I then saw these same guys waiting for the boat to MK with the Iced Tea can. My girl told me I should tell a CM, but maybe cause I remember being under 21 not too long ago and I could tell they were harmless kids, I didnt say anything. I kept looking at them though, and I woulda snitched on them in a second if they looked like trouble or being jerks.

Ha ha ha....3 kids trying to get drunk off one beer....that is so funny :lmao: ...I remember people like that.
Actually, you could have just threatend to turn them in and probably been able to scare them into pouring it out. Then they wouldn't have gotten in with it, or in trouble, etc.

No I dont think I would tell a CM about a young adult sneaking one beer into the MK. I know many adults who sneak nips in so they can spice up that Dole Whip!

Now if they had a sack of heroin, thats a different story!

I don't know...that's an uncomfortable spot to be in. Harmless or not, it's still breaking the law if they are under 21. It's not a position I'd envy being in, that's for sure.

I'm the protective older sister of an underage over-doing-it type of brother (pictured below on the far left). He's 19 years old and thinks it's cool to do stuff like this....I probably would have told on them, only because if I found out later in the day that something happened to them because of this, I would have been overridden with guilt. Not that I can see them getting drunk off of one beer...but you never know. But that's just me and I've been called prude many times before! I hope the Tag Fairy doesn't see this one! :rolleyes1

I certainly wouldn't have ratted them out! I'm 37 now, but when I was 18+, four of us would drive up from University of Miami a couple times a year and stay at the Ft. Wilderness Cabins. We would stock the fridge full of beer and have some serious party weekends. I remember having at least 15 college aged kids in our cabin for parties on more occasions than I can recall. I think you did the right thing...it was only beer...not a bit deal, IMO.

well, i might of said it wrong, but it was one can of Iced tea each of the 3 guys.... Im guessing they had a about 2 Bud cans each, not a big deal. The thing is they werent in the stalls, just over the sinks. Were are the Security Guards doing their patrols???

You did the right thing. I don't understand why beer is sold at all the parks except MK, but that's the way it is. A few beers snuck in won't change the atmosphere of the park.

It's stupid, but telling a CM would have just been pointless. Let the kids have their fun. I don't think that's an "if you see something, say something" situation. ;)

:hippie: Who is to say that they weren't 21? I know MK is a dry park but some of these "kids" are 21. As long as they were not disturbing anyone or being mean or bad then leave them alone. It is not your job to take that away from them. The security guards should do it and if they don't then it is there fault not yours.

"If it doesn't pertain to you or your family leave it alone."

As long as they were obviously over 18, certainly it's a no harm-no foul situation. Even if they'd been caught they just would have been made to dump it out, most likely.

Kids have a right to be stupid. Not to mention teens these days seem to think that half of doing things like this is showing off that they ARE doing things like this . . . you know they probably made fools of themselves in some line showing each other how "drunk" they were at the tops of their lungs and got kicked out anyway.

I would not have said anything. It's not like they were pouring in a fifth of Jack Daniel's. I was young once.

It's that way because Walt did not want alcohol sold there. So they keep MK dry while allowing alcohol at the other parks out of respect for Disney's wishes.

Yes you should have rated on them.

Honestly , if I did, it woulda been for my own enjoyment. The hot weather makes us a Grinch..er, Jafar.

The government should just create a device that automatically reads how fast your going and gives you a ticket every time you go over the speed limit. We all break the law folks, so what if there's a few kids kicking back a few before a fun day at the park, pick your battles. Alcohol in moderation just makes things more enjoyable, which is what these guys seemed to be doing. You what is a crime though, $6 for a beer in the parks.
