I have set up a Miles/Minutes spreadsheet for any Warriors that want to participate. This would just be for us, not comparing numbers with other teams, just within ourselves. This is just for those Warriors who would like to do it, you do not HAVE to participate. If you would like to do this please PM me or email me at WISHerTracy@gmail.com. It starts with January and goes all the way to December. You are allowed to double your miles for any race that you participate in.

I have 3 more sleeps until the Princess Half Marathon Weekend. Training is coming along, but we'll see how the ITB and knee does once race day comes.

Jim: glad to hear your foot didn't cause too much issues during your EPSN 5K.

Everyone sound like they are moving along nicely. Hoping everyone is thinking of signing up to do the IWISH Virtual 5K or 10K.

4.5 miles yesterday. I've hopped into the middle of one of Hal Higdon's training plans. The 1/2 I may do next is only 5 1/2 weeks out, so there is a little bit of the "making up for lost time" syndrome bouncing around my skull right now.

Not really training for time, just distance.

I REALLY thought winter was over this week, but another rainy cold front came through last night & temps are expected to go back down into the 30's this week. My DW is NOT going to be a happy camper come Saturday morning @ the Princess 5k.

I really do not know how you Yankees out there put up with this cold weather for months at at time. It. Really. Sucks!! For once, I am wishing that Al Gore is right!

Good Luck to the Princess runners heading out- I wish you not to warm of weather( but way nicer than what we had in Jan), and great races. Have fun and enjoy the experience!!

GOOD LUCK to all my Warriors buddies running the Princess races this weekend at WDW. W.I .S.H. I could be there with you.

I finished the month of Feb by running a total of 105 miles. Lots of miles left until my May marathon, but I'm really happy so far with my progress.

JIM- congrats on your ESPN 5K finish.

Tracy- sleep well as race day approaches.

The weather here in central Il still sucks, though temps are supposed to be in the 40's the rest of the week. That is an improvement over what's it has been.

Everyone run strong!!!! :cool1:

El Nino years are so silly. The Pacific Northwest has had a nicer winter than Florida this year. :confused3 Or, at the very least, fewer days with temps below 40. Yuck.

I'm heading off to a Girls on the Run coach meeting in a couple minutes (hooray! can't wait to start coaching my little brats again next week!) but just wanted to update that we bought a house! :goodvibes Offer was accepted yesterday and we're signing the contract tomorrow. Closing date will be at the end of April - I can't believe that I can't wait to start packing!

Jim - You spend summer inside, we spend winter inside. It all evens out. I don't knwo how you cope above 80 degrees. :upsidedow COngrats on ESPN and the new training! You stil lcoming ot Pop meet Saturday?

Stan - Way to go on teh 15!!! SO exciting to go further than ever before!

Sarah - COngrats on the house!

Kathey - COngrats on signing up for the full!

Kate - Enjoy the wedding planning. It will be over ebfore you know it! :goodvibes

Tracy - See you real soon! HOpe that ITB holds out for you!

Pam - Should be about perfect conditions for me! MUCH better than January. Yay!

Barb? Where are you hiding? ;)

Training's going well. One last run tonight adn start my journey tomorrow after work. (Just getting closer to the airport for a VERY early flight Friday am). Can't wait!

Good luck to all the Princess 1/2 runners.... I'm jealous

Jim - Congrats on the ESPN 5K and for your foot holding up!:cool1:

Sarah - Congratulations on the new purchase!

Tracy - Don't forget to do your push ups! LOL, actually I think you remind me to do them more than I remind you to do yours.

I surprised myself and purchased a new pair of running shoes and custom insoles this past weekend, so my break from running might be over! LOL, I don't know what made me buy a new pair...I think it was either the smell or the shineyness of the new shoes that made me walk in that direction. :rotfl:

Got on the treadmill and ran a couple of miles in them to break them in and went to a spin class this morning, it felt great to sweat!

Have a great hump day! Happy Wednesday

Best of luck to all of our princesses- hope it goes amazingly well for you.

Just waiting for my tonsils to de-shed themselves of whiteness so i can get back to training. :rotfl: maybe too much detail! Also trying to complete a presentation on exercise groups and leadership- anyone mind if i mention Walt's warriors?

Jim so pleased that you're not in too much pain now- great work for the 5k.

Marcia shiny shoes hey :woohoo: i love it!

5 miles today. ALMOST warm (low 50's) and very sunny.

I'll be at a Winterguard meet for my DD on Saturday evening, so, once again, no Pop meet. I will be on my bike on Sunday. Nice EARLY wake-up call for me. They like us there by 4:30 a.m. so we can stand around doing nothing for a couple of hours prior to the start.

I got my "regular" 4 mile run in yesterday after school then when to a 45 minute Core Stability ball class. When I got out of class DH was up running so I did another mile walk 1 run 1 while he finished. Today the core is a little sore , but that's how it should be. tomorrow another 5 miles maybe outdoors (it's supposed to be in the 40's here)

Congratulations for all those that did the Princess this weekend.:cool1::cool1:

Just finished 6.74 miles on my husbands forerunner 305, my watch FR60 showed 7.02. I guess I still have some calculating on my watch.

Kathy

Congrats to the "Princesses" I hope you all enjoyed your race! I got 6 done over the weekend and am going to head to the Y in awhile for my regular 4 (week 7 for Flying Pig starts today).

Have a great day all!

kathy how annoying that your watch has been misbehaving, growl.

Pam i love your consistency!!!! you are an absolute inspiration.

I've popped over to congratulate a few of you on facebook, but massive congrats again :) I got myself to the gym this morning- first time since i've been ill. Had to run with a scarf on to support my neck so I didn't look weird at all eh he! 3 miles done and presentation near enough finished for uni so today is a good day! Back to work tomorrow :goodvibes

Hi Warriors! I am just poking my head in the door for a message on today's Monday Mixer.

Since Corinna is traveling today, I have volunteered to host the Mixer for a day.

So have a drink, relax a bit and join in the Monday Mixer with us…..
In honor of those who ran the Princess Half as their favorite princess (and other Disney races as their favorite characters), tell us all a bit about your favorite Disney characters.

What's up Warriors?

Been doing a steady 11-12 miles each week, but with nothing on the horizon that's about all I'll be doing for a while. Next Half is at the end of August so I'll start ramping up in the summer. Still trying to decide what I will do next January, but I'm still leaning towards the half.

Hope everyone is doing great!
Chris

Hi Warriors, been an amazing week. First weekend New Orleans, second weekend Annapolis for half marathons. I'm taking some well needed RnR then will get back into the new groove. I'm trying to find that wherever it is.

Sarah, congrats on the new house. I'm sure you will have all sorts of pleasure making it into your home.

Kate, hope the tonsils are getting better.

Princess runners, hope you had all kinds of fun.

I just joined the DIS boards about a month ago. And request to be added to a team, so this is my introduction...

My name is Britney, I'm 20 and from the Tampa, Fl area. I just finished my first 1/2 marathon in the Disney princess. I've ran one other Disney race which was the Royal family last year. I relocated to North Carolina for 8months, and that's why I don't have others to list. I will admit my time was HORRIBLE for what I used to be at a year ago. I'm hoping to pick back up where I left off. Moving from North Carolina back to Florida put a break in my time for running. But now I think I got my reality check from this past weekend.... And am hoping to get back to my old pace, and find a support group to share my journey with along the way.

(hope this isn't too awkward of a first post)

Hi All--finally checking in for March. Haven't been able to do so before now because I just got back from running the Princess Half! It was, hands down, my most favorite race ever! OMG, the course was incredible (meaning the support, the characters, the entertainment, the fun attitudes of the other runners, all of it).

Another incredible Warrior, Amy (amykab) and I coached 6 others from a different WISH thread through their first Half! It was an incredible experience all the way around!

My plan now is to dial down the distance a bit and work up my speed!
