Roxy, sometimes it is alittle weird. Keep trying and if you can get it, PM me with your email address again so I can make sure it is correct with permission thingy.

Howdy Warriors!

Sorry I have been totally MIA from the boards lately, but I am still at it!

Here are my totals for Sept: 98.1 miles (thanks to the DL 1/2 weekend!) and time is 18:07:17.

Tracy, here is August again because I think I was missing something.
78.75 - 18:26:46

Tracy - Can you tell me when the WISH meet is again for marathon weekend? I tried to search for it, but couldn't find it. Thank you!!

The WISH meet is at Pop Century Food Court at 4:30 on that Friday, however you'll be with us there at about 4pm for the Warrior meet, so we'll already be there. I am thinking of us meeting in the lobby, chatting, taking photos and then heading over to the Food Court for the big meet.

and thanks SOOOOOO much for handing in your times and miles!! :thumbsup2

Hey guys. I've not been quite so active as I'd like recently, both on here and also on the roads! I had to pull out of the Warrington Half today- decided last minute yesterday after advice from physio and running teacher who told me shin splints were too bad and i'd make them worse. So.... had a slightly sad morning- which is very pathetic really as it is only a run, but I feel like my planning had all gone so well and i fell at the last hurdle. Oh well. Rehab time for me. There was no way i was going to risk Disney for the sake of a local half.

Once again swim for me today. This could get boring! :rotfl:

Good Sunday Warriors!!

Kate: Sorry to hear you had to give up your race, but good that you are going to take it easy. I know all about PT (or physical torture - hehe) for the shin. I was in it for about a month and a half, but still was able to walk and rode my bike and swim, so I think you should be ok with keeping active and tending to your shin.

Been a bit of a busy weekend for me.
Decided at the last minute Friday night that I wanted to get up and do my miles at the beach Saturday morning and that is what I did. And boy was it wonderful. Nice to change up the scenery once in a while. Getting there right at sunrise is my favorite thing.

And later on to the Miami versus Oklahoma game and what a game it was!!

Getting home around 1am and trying to get up this morning for my 10 miles was a bit hard. I did make it outside finally and the 10 miles are now checked off my "to do" list for training for the Spacecoast Half coming up in about 55 days.

Hoping all the Warriors are keeping at it and trying there best to stay injury free!

I finally got my miles on the spread sheet, no need to bring out the wet noodle lashings:rotfl2:

Kate - sorry to hear that you didn't get your run in, but better to be safe than sorry.

Tracy - nice pics! They are beautiful:thumbsup2

I ran the San Jose Rock n' Roll marathon this morning, it was a fast & fast course. The bands were okay and the headline concert at the end was Johnny Lang. I didn't stay for the concert as I wanted to go to the Oakland A's final home game for the season.

I hope everyone had a great Sunday!

Cheers

Way to go Warriors.

I made it out early for 18 miles. Yeah, just a short one for me. :rotfl2:

Got home, ice bathed, napped, and then took my younger daughter out to putt at the golf course. Only 89 degrees out when she decided she wanted to go play.

Post run carb loading at Bucca di Beppo's. Good stuff!

Hey Warriors!!
Where is everyone, lets get going on chatting about up and coming races, training, movies, Dancing with the Starts, etc. hahahaha

Got out after work and did an nice and easy 4miles tonight. Trying to keep it light so I can really push myself for the RFTT on Sunday. Training is moving along for my Spacecoast Half in November. I do have two races before, the RFTT on Sunday and the Women in Distress Safe-Walk/Run 5K on October 31st. I need to find a race in December maybe another Jingle Bell Jog. That was fun last year.

OMG!!
I NEED A DISNEY WORLD FIX!!! Soooooo badly and I am thinking I want to be standing on Main Street on Friday when the park opens. (Of course that means leaving my house around 5am, but I can do it!)

Take care everyone and PLEASE turn in your miles and times, PLEASE!!

-Tracy

Happy Tuesday Warriors!!

Another month is in the bag. Times flies when you are getting old !! :scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1:

No runs yet this month. Scheduling is a real pain lately, plus the weather has been really sketchy lately. After a few days of dry cool air, we have gone back to hot, humid weather with late thunderstorms. Ugh.

I did manage a 1400 meter swim yesterday and a 43 mile bike ride this morning. I have to really start to stretch out the bike rides if I have ANY chance of EVER doing a 1/2 IM. Work tomorrow, HOPEFULLY a run on Thursday, surgery on Friday and the RFTT on Sunday. Hope to see ya'll there!

Jim: Surgery on Friday and RFTT on Sunday?!?!?!?!? Man, you are committed to the cause.

Tracy: I totally hear you on the needing the Disney World fix. I'm so jealous that you're so close! I actually plugged the MK into my Prius' GPS system today. It's 3166 miles from Seattle, in case you were wondering. :scared1:

Jeff: Well done on the 18 miler!

Kate: That is really too bad about the half marathon on Sunday. But it's good that you know your limits, and now you can concentrate on getting ready for Mickey in January!

As for me, I got in a 6 miler on Saturday, 11 miles on Sunday, and then 5.85 today. I really enjoyed my run at Green Lake this morning; I need to get out there more often on weekdays. It's always insanely busy - the entirety of the park is a wide path around a lake - but it's such a nice run and the people watching is great. :goodvibes

I also just got back from coaching my little terrors.... um... runners. :lmao: The girls have so much energy... until you try to get them to actually run. And then they're dragging like they just walked 50 miles through the Mojave. They are sweet kids, though.

Well, I'm off to broil some salmon for dinner!

Jim - ??? are you sure about that RFTT? after surgery ??? I hope all goes well for you

Tracy - have fun on the next big run

Jeff - YOU CRAZY!

Sarah - sounds like you're having fun..running and coaching the little ones.

Next up for me is the Nike womens half. I haven't really been running a lot, just running half marathons in my area and hopefully that will carry me onto the next run. :rotfl2:

Sorry it has taken me a while to get my September numbers in.

Miles: 56
Time: 9:20

Started my serious training now so you should see a pick up in my contribution next month.

Hey warriors! Oh you have been busy!

Marcia  for your marathon! The Rock and Roll series look brilliant and they look even better when they're flat! Did you have a great time there?

Tracy so hold on not only do i have to get green looking and Jeff's photos, not you've got stunning ones too!?!?! Aww no it looks lovely- i can see why you're inspired to run with that outside! To be fair now autumn's in full swing our roads look pretty, but CHILLY  Hope you have an amazing time at RFTT and in the Magic Kingdom. I'll be thinking of you :wizard:

Jeff you must be one of the world's best dad's! Ever! Awesome run again- 18 little miles hey? :rotfl: Great work.

Jim isn't it a pain when life gets in the way? ;) Good luck with the surgery- think i've missed what that's for, but whatever it is you take good care of yourself on sunday. Tracy will get you if you don't!

Sarah your girls sound like a wonderful handful! Those 3runs were brilliant too, so fab work. I hope your feeling proud! It;s good to remind yourself that you're doing really well sometimes. Otherwise you only realise once you have to stop for whatever reason so :woohoo:

Ken really good to see you :cheer2:

Me i did my first ever pre-work swim! Was in the pool by 7.30am :upsidedow It was really nice getting the swim done early, but feels insanely late now (only 3.50pm!). I'm a bit snowed under with my first Sports Psych essay due on friday, but it's all good :) PT tomorrow  thinking i might try cycling but my shin still hurts- even at rest so I'm not sure if that's a good move.

Keep it up and I promise i'll get my miles back for you at some point :teacher:

Kate - Get heald and then worry abotu miles. :wizard::hug:

Sarah - Holy cow. You are pundin those miles out!~ Way to go!!

Tracy - Awesome pix!

Jeff - Quit slakin'. Only 18? ;)

Marcia - WTG at San Jose! Too bad Nike own't be that fast, frm what I hear.

Ken - Good ot see you!

Jim - lol. I so want to do a half IM, but so don't think it''ll happen. You're kicken my tail on teh bike and my bike's abotu to be retired to a trainer fro the winter. :-( Hope your schedule gets better soon! Surgery?

Had a solo 9 on Saturday (thought that was good, but I feel liek a slacker here). It went well fro how slow I've been lately. DId 50 min on teh "hampster wheel" (as dh says it, really teh TM) last night. It sucked. Hope it dfoesn't rain tomorrow, but it's supposed to.

4.2 mile run this a.m., 14 mile bike this afternoon. It is just plain frappin' hot in Florida right now. Intolerably so. What a pain!

Surgery in the morning (Relax, it's only some minor hand surgery.............The icision healing will be worse than the actual cuttin').

Happy weekend everyone!

Just curious, how many of us Warriors are heading to WDW in January? Don't forget about the Warrior meet @ 4:30pm at Pop Century...right before the WISH meet @ 5pm.

Good luck to everyone running this weekend...

Racy Tracy ~ have fun this weekend! I'm in envy I can't be there

Jeff ~ another fast, long, hot training run I"m sure...you know I'm envious

Jim ~ keep on keeping on...what else is there to say

Sarah ~ WTG

WTG everyone...have a great week..get your miles in

Hi Warriors!!

I haven't been on the boards lately..it has been crazy around here since school started and my kids think they must do every activity available:sad2: So between football, cheerleading, cross country, choir , 4h, church etc, etc (oh yeah and I started grad school!) my time on the computer has been limited!!

However, my dh and I did get signed up for the 1/2 marathon:banana::banana: through a charity group - Run 4 Olivia. I am so excited!! We officially started our 14 week training program this week. But I have ran so little the past few weeks it almost feels like starting over. I know this will pass in a couple of weeks though.

So for marathon weekend we will be doing the 5k and the 1/2 marathon. We are also volunteering for the full and my friend from work is doing the full. I can't wait to cheer her on through the castle (hopefully will be done volunteering by then - we are at water stop 2).

Unfortunately we didn't get signed up for the ToT race before it got full :sad1:, but we are leaving to go to Disney next Wednesday!! We are staying at Saratoga Springs and I love the gym there! On the 17th we will be running a 5k in spirit with my coworkers who are running a race called the Liz Hurley 5k - a breast cancer awareness race. My nurse manager has a team and I wish I could be running it there but we will be at Disney. So while they are running at home we will be running at the same time at WDW.

So tomorrow I am off to work for 5 days straight and then to Disney!!!!

Sounds like everyone has been busy too!

Good luck to those who are running races soon!!

Jennifer
