Warranty question on refurbished xbox

I'm looking at the refurbished xbox 360 deal on buy.com but I'm confused about the warranty. It says a full 1 yr warranty but when you read the details it states "the original retail buyer". Does that not mean me since it's refurbished? There are tons of q&s's about it on buy.com and some say they ended up with less of a warranty and some said it's fine, they'll adjust it if you call. I have terrible luck and with it the system would break and the warranty would already be up.

Anyone know for sure if it's one year from my purchase?

I don't know, but DH was actually able to fix the RROD/red rings of death on his Xbox 360 by himself for about $10 by watching how-to videos on YouTube. (Thank you to the DISers who helped us through that crisis.)

How much is the warranty? Can buy.com give you a telephone number to call and inquire?
