Warning! New FP Limits for Passholders with Multiple Stays - NOT Split Stays: READ Post #484

Here's my antecdotal information based booking fast passes recently. I have an AP with 3 nights on-site followed by 7 nights off-site.

The 60 day glitch is eliminated. I had to wait for the 30 day mark to book the off-site days.

The 7 day limit does apply. I was only able to book 3 days on-site (by choice) and 4 days off-site.

One oddity that I noticed was that I was able to book friends and family linked to my MDE at the 60 day window even though they're not staying on-site.

That’s been a feature of the FP system since its introduction. Anyone listed or linked in MDX shares the open booking window.

:)

@jkohmi - the hard close of your Swan window will not allow Poly to open unless Disney alters their “window opener” which is the actual checkout from your Stay#1/Swan. Be ready to call Disney IT when your Poly window is supposed to open.

Yeah, I'm ready for that. I have a specific person I'm supposed to call the day the Poly window is supposed to open to report whether or not it opened. I'm assuming it won't open, but they said it should open, so :confused3. I'll just call when it doesn't and hope they fix it somehow.

My apologies for not putting the puzzle pieces myself but after reading a few pages of this thread my head is spinning.

We are APs. We have an off-site stay in 14 days. FPs are already booked for that stay. During that stay our 60 day window opens for our on-site stay in June at Polynesian. Am I understanding correctly that we won’t be able to book our on-site FPs until our current FPs are used up?

Correct. (I assume you have 7 days of FPs scheduled)?

Wow that’s a shame. This is the only time we’ve ever done trips within 60 days of each other and it was completely spur of the moment. I get the point of it, but for non-local APs this is a blow.

I may just cancel my pre-booked FPs for my April trip as the June trip is of greater importance. Will I still be able to book rolling FPs for my April trip?

In your case, the offsite stay automatically triggers 7-day FP limit and that is not new, that's the way it has been. If you have fewer than 7 days scheduled in your April trip, you will be able to schedule up to 7 days. As soon as you use your FP days, make your Poly FPs. At least your Poly window won't be shut because your previous stay is not onsite, so you can make FPs for future days as you use your April days.

Okay. I've really tried to understand this thread, but I'm more confused than when I began reading. o_O

I have an AP, as does DH. May 10 - 16, I'm taking my mom on a Mother's Day trip, and we're staying onsite: FPs already booked.

June 11 - 16, I'm taking DH on a Father's Day trip, also onsite. Our window opens this Friday. Based on this thread, I'm scared I won't be able to book FPs for the June trip, although DH will be. Is there any chance I will be able to?

You should, both are onsite stays and you are allowed to book for your entire stay according to the official rules. If not call the AP help line.

Based upon the bug (intentional feature?) that was introduced at the end of March. You are correct, your June stay won't open up on the FP system until you check out of the May trip. As the other poster said, call on Friday and you might find somebody nice enough to book them for you over the phone.

Edit: I should say it won't open at 60 days out. You should be able to start booking a day at a time at the 30 day window though.

@DizFan13 will NOT have an open 30 day window because 30 days out from her June trip is during her May trip.

As @vinotinto, @anomamatt, and others have confirmed in this thread, @DizFan13 will only be able to book FPs for June after her May trip ends.

As @DizFan13 uses FPs for the first trip they will no longer have 7 days of FPs for that trip, thus opening one for the next 30 day period. I assumed, perhaps incorrectly, that given that they would no longer have 7 that it would allow them to book another for the next trip.

@vinotinto has also stated that their trips were more than 30 days apart, not within 30 days.

@hiroMYhero, do we know this for sure? I was able to see the next 30 days. I just couldn’t see my next window which was farther out than 30 days but within 60 days. Isn't the 30 day-window always open?

Also, not sure how having one guest without FP and without an earlier onsite trip will impact her second FP window. Maybe her window will be open because one of the guests does *not* have the earlier onsite trip? @DizFan13, please report back!

DizFan will have her stay and FPs already booked within that timeframe.

I haven't read through the entire thread but I do have several very close stays - one in May, one in June, one in July, one in August. I booked one day of FPs for May. When I went to book my FPs for June, it only allowed me to book 6 days worth. I got a message that I had reached my FP limit. I called and was on with Disney for about 2 hours. I tried to call the AP line but bc they were so busy I got sent to IT. It took awhile for the CM to gather the info for me but I was told if you do not have a continuous stay, you are only allowed 7 days of FPs and not the "up to 14" usually allowed with an onsite stay. I asked to speak to someone else and was sent to guest services. They really did not help me much at all. He claimed to have given me FPs for one of my days. But it only says 1 of 1 for each of us and only allows us to choose between the three attractions I wanted to book. He said it is good for all 3 but I don't believe they are. So I was told the only way to be able to book FPs for your entire stay if you have multiple stays within 60 days of one another is to have some type of continuous stay. It can be a split stay but it has to be continuous.

Another issue I had that I believe is unrelated but definitely a glitch: I could not book FPs only for myself. If I tried, I could not see past May. I could do them if I booked them with my other family members and then remove them, but I could not do them alone. We all have Gold APs that are linked.

Thanks for the info. It is beginning to sound like this is perhaps actually an intentional "feature"....

Hi! Can you tell us a little more information:
Where are you staying in May and June?
Is your entire party staying on both the May and June trips? Or do you have some members of your party that are not in the May trip, but are in the June trip?
For your FP, can you show a screen shot (blocking any personal info)? I see 1/1 for each of my 3 experiences and they are all listed separately.

Renée - did you happen to book your June FPs during the “rolling 74-day window” glitch or was it a true 60-day window for your June trip?

Those who used the 74-day glitch did get to book for Stays beyond their initial stay.

I'm sort of regretting my AP purchase right now. As out of state AP, our trips are often clustered with a few less than 60 days apart due to work and school and then a longer span with no trips.

Is this affecting individual packages booked with date based tickets? I was going to buy APs for some other family members, but I might just get tickets for each trip instead (cost was close).

Everyone behind the scenes who are researching the booking window do not have date-based tickets. Those with the old MYW tickets have reported Stay#2’s window is not opening 60-days out.
