Having just got back from a Thanksgiving trip, we were told multiple times upon checking into a restaurant at the appointed time that we did not have a reservation. Checks of various lists did not yeild our name. Not until I produced the reservation number did the cast members find our reservation on "another list." There was no pattern to the missing reservations-- some were made months ago and others quite recently. Some were there and some were not. I highlighted and printed mine out (and had done so before the crash, I mean "upgrade." I hope everyone has great food and a great trip!

I guess I got lucky...I made my Chef Mickey ADR back in June/July and I brought nothing with me on Thursday night...but I was in the system no problems...:thumbsup2

I have had the same thing happen to me a couple of times. Not very often, but just once is too many in my opinion.

I always print out our reservations and paste the numbers to an index card along with other information for that park day. When the CM can't find us in the system, I just hand him/her my card and voila, my "lost" ressie has suddenly been located.

Sometimes they can't find you because when you made a reservation by phone, the phone agent spelled your name in a way that does not at all resemble the way you actually spell it.

We just returned from a Thanksgiving week trip as well and we did not have a single problem with our ADRs. However, I did carry a printout of all our confirmation numbers with us, just in case. Simply makes sense to me, even though we've never had a problem.

Since I write very small anyway, what I do is take two of the lime green mickey heads from Home Depot, write the restaurants, time, and ADR numbers on one, then my DIS name on the other one. I then cut them out, glue the heads together, laminate them, punch a hole in one ear, then use the rubber loop thingy that comes with the luggage tags you get in the big blue Disney envelope you get in the mail to make a tag that hangs on my park bag. That way I have the lime green Mickey head that identifies me as a DIser, plus I have all my ADR numbers handy. If I'm on the DxDDP and have alot of ADRs, then I just use both sides of the Mickey head to write the numbers down.

I always carry a copy of our ADRs and so does my DH.:thumbsup2 But thanks for the post, it's always good to have a heads up!;) Glad it worked out for you.:yay:

I always print out our reservation confirmations from the Disney website. Then I take the ones we need for the day, just in case. So far I haven't needed them, but it's better to be safe than sorry. :thumbsup2

I made an excel spreadsheet. On our last trip, Oct 23 to Oct 31, 2010, the only restaurant that did not have us in the system was House of Blues.
We checked in at 5:45PM and they said they already had 8 disney famlies that did not show up in the system. This was during the first upgrade.
We leave Wednesday and I am bringing my list.

I have never had a problem either but I have always made a spreadsheet with reservation numbers that I carry with me and I leave a 2nd copy back at the room. I also call a few days before my trip and confirm eveything.

Yep. Had that happen our last trip. Was SO glad I had printed out all of the info on business cards & could just hand over the card.

I print ours out small enough to fit in the picture/ID window of my wallet. I laminate it to make it a little sturdier. Since they're in my wallet, I always have them right there. It has come in handy a few times when I've forgotten the exact time of our ADR after we've left the room for the day!

I always have carried them with me. Only once in 6 trips have I needed it but I was sure glad to have it on me for it was at Le Cellier.

I do this as well...hubby things i'm crazy but i like having all the information for each day in one place.....we went were there the last week of October....and I didn't have any issues with our reservations:goodvibes

SO glad I read this thread. I always travel with a copy of my confirmation #'s, but reading this thread reminded to go ahead and print out my current ADRs in case this latest 'upgrade' loses some more of them. :thumbsup2

I agree, I've been burned on this one too!

OP, could it be last week was because of the recent maintenance upgrade that caused alot of problems with missing ADR listings....Glad it worked out for you.

GREAT Advice. Me and My Fiancee were staying at the AKL when the reservation system was "upgraded" what a nightmare. Luckily our CRT ADR was in the system but we couldn't switch it from the credit card to our meal plan until we got to the restaurant. Even then they took the meal plan meals AND we weren't refunded the money for nearly a MONTH!!! :sad2: So anything that gives you the proof of your ADR is def a good idea while they work out the "bugs"

We were there 11/21 to 11/27.

There was a downloadable sheet on mouseforless I used. It had space for you to write down the restaurant name, date of ADR, time of ADR and confirmation number.

I didn't have any problems though. Glad everything worked out.
