Warning: Le Cellier Menu Has Changed!

I realize many people do not like mushrooms....but we are very happy to see the mushroom filet w/risotto is still on the menu. And we love the choc. cake, also.
I am actually anxious to try the new shrimp appie....since DH was not fond of shrimp tossed in wasabi sauce.
As far as the BBQ Maple Filet, we have never tried it! Really can't understand why anyone would want to take a great filet and smother it with BBQ sauce.....but....if all else fails....you could always smuggle in a bottle of "Open Pit" and maple syrup!:confused3

My favorite thing on property were the mussels here. They used to be served "chowder style" with applewood bacon. They were heaven on a plate!! Now they seem more asian inspired, with coconut milk and ginger. Bummer!!! I'm really sad about the changes.:sad2: We'll probably keep our adr for this Sept. but I'm really dissapointed that I won't be getting my favorite thing this year.

We never tried the mussels the old way but did recently have them the new way...they were fantasic and definitely worth a try!! :thumbsup2

Interestingly, I had steak at both Le Cellier and Coral Reef last week, not knowing any of this, although I was surprised the filet with maple sauce was not on the menu since that's what I wanted in the first place. I was quite disappointed in my steak at Le Cellier and quite liked the one at Coral Reef...

Is is smores dessert also on the kids menu? I really wanted to try that on our next trip.

WOW!! I am so bummed.... I loved the appy DH loved the entreee... we are going in sept and I am bummed :(

When we were there last June, NEITHER the SMORES nor the CHOCOLATE MOOSE were on the KIDS menu. They were both on the ADULT menu. DS wanted a smores, so we ordered that in addition to the kids offering.

I am a mushroom lover, but did not enjoy the mushroom filet. I was planning to try the BBQ one this year. The new menu doesn't appeal nearly as much, but I'm sure I'll find something to try.

We booked Le Cellier for lunch. I was just looking for some others who have done lunch as well. We loved it for dinner! We are going during free dining and we end up with lunch at 2:30. I was happy to get it!

Bummer. We'll probably cancel our lunch here. Nothing on the new lunch menu appeals a whole lot, and we had some other places we were hoping to fit in anyway.

Too bad--we really did like our favorites there.

I love the Mushroom Fillet with Risotto, it's amazing! However, being pregnant baby doesn't allow mama ANY beef without me getting very sick. When we went on 3/22/08 I had the Mustard Basted Chicken with Cream Cheese Mashed Potatoes and that's AMAZING! I actually enjoyed my chicken more there than I did at Jiko, which shocked even me.

Well, crap.
I really liked the shrimp with the wasabi slaw. And I liked the filet because they would put the sauce on the SIDE. I don't like sauce. I also do not like mushrooms, so the mushroom thing is not an option. Hmm. They have changed the salmon since the last time I had it, too. Well, we will keep our ADR for August for now but if I can think of somewhere else we would rather go then we may change it. We're not on Dining Plan the night we are going there so we can pick and choose what we want to get, but none of it sounds all that fabulous. :confused3

going to le cellier for the first time in october saw good and bad reviews.the srimp with wasabi slaw is not on the menu any more thats what i looking forward to trying .showed dw new menu she would still like to try it instead of doing our normal routine.

:headache:  :sad1:
UGH! Looking forward all trip to our favorite meal at Le Cellier. We arrived for our reservation at 7:50pm and got to our table, famished and thrilled to be at our favorite place about to order our favorite food. We got our menus and thought they must have given us the lunch menus...but no. GONE were our favorite appetizer and GONE was our favorite entree!! They have a new chef at Le Cellier we were told, and he has revised the menu about 3 weeks ago. They no longer serve:
Filet with maple BBQ sauce
Shrimp with wasabi slaw
There are probably other items missing, we just noted these as this is what we wanted. We were terribly dissapointed and let the manager know. We also plan to email the epcot area manager.
There is another shrimp cocktail with seaweed salad. It is not good, unfortunately. The filet is now served with mushroom risotto. It is also 35.00,versus 27.00 for the BBQ. It was good, but nothing special and nothing I could not get anywhere. The maple bbq was unique, this is not.
This change is only 3 weeks old, so none of the online menus reflect it. So BE WARNED, if those were some of your favorites they are GONE.

Well DARN! I had to call 3 times to finally get a reservation there for our Sept trip and now I find the two things that I always order are both gone!! :sad1:

Since it is so late for us to eat, I may just cancel and book something else.

Now Im not so bummed that I didn't get a ressie for my may trip...those cream cheese pots were awesome, and now I don't have to be all depressed when we are at EPCOT!!!

I never tried the BBQ filet because I like the mushroom filet, but it stinks when they mess around with the menu and take away things that people look forward to.

I've been waiting to eat that darn bbq filet for over a year now! I am SOOO disappointed that they had the nerve to remove it. Why didn't they ask us all?? We would have told them otherwise ;)

Tricia, I was wondering, if the chicken taste alot like mustard? I loved the bbq filet and am disappointed to see it has gone. My husband however likes mushrooms, but I can't remember if he was overly impressed with Le Cellier's mushroom filet or not. I was just thinking that I would enjoy the chicken if it did not have too much of a mustard taste. Not too big a fan of mustard. Thanks!

Guess I will be getting the mushroom filet minus any mushrooms sub mashed potatoes!!! I was so excited to try this restaurant for the first time!! I will have to break it to my husband no chocolate moose either..

I know sometimes change is good, or mixing things up a bit to keep them "fresh".........but in this case "don't mess with a good thing!"

Did anyone see if they had salads on the menu inside of Le Cellier.....some of the people going with us like to have a salad too with the meal
