WARNING: Disney Vacation Account took money without permission

I'm able to log into my account now...
I was too. I was also able to get my DVA account number and change the payment for my room-only reservation from my AMEX card to my DVA filled with Disney Gift Cards at 15% off :).

I received this email.

Disney Vacation Account Reversal

We appreciate your participation in Disney Vacation Account.

A refund has already been issued to your account. If you do not see these funds in your account within a few days, please contact your financial institution.

I received an email just now stating they will be refunded the payment taken non 06/16 and no payments scheduled between 06/16-6/20 will not be processed. not sure if that means my automatic payment set for this saturday the 20th won't be taken????...Also just got a refund email showing the refund being done on my card...

Yes. The suitcase just gets packed over and over. I think packing ham and fish is against TSA regulations.
Once there was a thread about a family eating canned corn at Magic Kingdom. Well, that's how I remember it. it's been a while.
I fondly remember the one that said, "I was in line for Test Track and there was a woman eating an ear of corn."

Yep site is back up and I asked for a Full Refund. Do not want to cancel the account until the refund is in my hand but I did try to stop future contributions & was not able. Site just looping back to same page so I called Disney. Feel sorry for the CM's on the phone as not their fault but this woman had absolutely no clue what was going on. I asked how I could stop contributions & she said you had to do on-line, explained I could not & she said give it a few days. By that time my official contribution will come out! Again I know not her fault but asked her to please tell those higher up how poorly this was handled. I asked about refunds for money taken out and when that would be refunded. She told me NO refunds have been processed yet as they are still trying to find out what happened. This is really sad that almost 3 full days have passed & no information from Disney has been provided to anyone affected.

Actually about no refunds processed yet... My account was credited the extra unauthorized payment two days after it was taken out and I got an email from DVA about it. Perhaps the credit was done because it was off auto withdrawal?

I've gotten the same two emails this evening that others have reported. I just checked my credit card and there's no adjustment yet but I recognize there may be some time as Disney communicates with my credit account.

Like others I too have a scheduled contribution tomorrow but one email from Disney said the Disney Vacation Account won't take any contributions through the 20th, so we'll see if the regular one goes through tomorrow, and if/when I get the unauthorized one credited.

All in all, with the website down so long, I'm still a little annoyed with the whole program because I feel helpless when the website is offline, but at least it looks like things are starting to get back where it should be. :)

I still cannot log on. Talked to someone today and they took my info etc and said someone will call me. Not sure how long it will be, but no one knows when it will be up and running again. My contribution cleared last night ( wasn't supposed to come out till tomorrow) and caused an overdraft. Called to see if I could stop my contributions via phone since the website was down, was told no one has access to the DVA website to do this for me. I asked if my contribution that is scheduled for tomorrow would come out as well and she said PROBABLY the proceeded to say the total amount I have scheduled to accumulate could be taken out at any time....ummm really? All I could do was pay a $31 stop payment fee through my bank so the withdrawals will not be honored. I can't imagine if I was days away from my vacation and couldn't access my money. Soon as I can I'm closing it down.

Oh and I did get an email saying my contribution was being "reversed" but so far it hasn't. And that doesn't take care of the $35 overdraft fee so still I'll have to haggle with Disney on the phone AGAIN to get that paid for.

I have a DVA account and wasn't hit twice. I bank with Chase though and wonder if that has something to do with it.

I have my account linked to my Chase credit card but my Vacation Account was hit with the additional contribution on June 16.

Looks like the website was only working for a short time this evening because it's down again now. :(

OMG... it's Friday morning and the DVA website is still down!!! I want to close my account and just get the check for my balance sent to me. When's that going to happen? I'm done with letting Disney be my savings account for future trips. Heck right now I don't even care when that next trip will be :/

Sorry this has happened, but I'm extremely interested to see what Disney does for you. Will they step up to the plate and take care of you?

First of all, I'm relieved that I got an email from them acknowledging the problem and that they plan on reversing the unscheduled amount. I will now have to be patient until that refund has posted to my account. I wonder how long that will take. :guilty::guilty::guilty: When the site is back up, I don't think I will withdraw my money saved - I know some might and I wouldn't blame them. I think that's what Disney is most afraid of right now. However, I am more skeptical than I was before. Not very Magical.

Mine was back into my checking account this morning, my auto deduction is tied to my debit card...

Disney needs to take some of their millions and invest in their websites. DVA is still down and I was having issues looking up my reservation on the regular site this morning. It's so frustrating.

No email, no refund, no website login...heck even the disne ycruise website is saying maintenance (during working hours?!?...huh?)

I can come up with a list of At Leasts, but honestly, i want to know whats happening to my account and when it will be fixed.

I don't care what the problem is, i don't care how many people are working on it, i don't care how high of a priority it is...because that's all talk...i believe when i see the result.
