First, let me say that I do not have daughters. I have two sons ages 3 and 6. On our last trip we did both Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace. My main reason for wanting to book the CRT for our next visit is simply because as a child I ALWAYS wanted to see the inside of the castle. Even though my sons aren't into princesses, LOL, I think they'd still get excited about being inside the castle. Plus, it will be MY birthday. :rotfl: Any thoughts? Is it worth the money?

Also ...... breakfast or lunch?

We had dinner at CRT last November before the xmas party with my grown children (22 & 26) and we all loved it - had our picture taken with Cinderella in the waiting area was a hoot - the meal was fairly decent and the view was beautiful.

If it's something you have always wanted to do I say go for it. We went for lunch in March and I really wasn't impressed with the food so we will try breakfast next time.:thumbsup2

Went last Dec for dinner, (me, DH, DD9, DS6). Everyone liked the atmosphere. Food was good. Worth it if you've never been inside. Dinner characters were: pics with Cinderella at the door, then Fairygodmother and mice for songs at dinner.

We have 5 boys and been here many of times and still go back. Well worth it. And it's Awesome in my opinion to eat in the Castle in Disney World. :thumbsup2

There are alot of us that use the excuse of having children to go to WDW. We tell people that "we are going because the kids wanted to go"...and we all know that for most of us this is a big fat lie!!! We go to WDW because we LOVE it.....us, not them. If you have always wanted to go to the Castle, then GO!!!! Who is paying for this trip afterall :)

Get reservations before the park opens-you can get some great pictures by the castle before the crowds come! You've got to eat in the castle!

Last year for our trip, I did not book the castle for a meal because I didn't think the boys would be so into it. We did do 1900 park Fare for dinner because I had read that the step-family is hilarious and the boys usually enjoy this meal too and find the characters to be funny (which they were!). Plus, I waned to eat with at least one princess, and Cinderella is my favorite.

My older son told me he was sad that we did not get to go inside the castle. He asked me if we could eat in the castle next time we go to Disney World! We are going back next July and my boys will be 3 and 5. We will definitely be having dinner in the castle one night, and my sister & nieces and my parents will be joining us too! I am very excited to eat in the castle. Go for it!

We also did Chef Mickey's (breakfast) last year and Crystal Palace (dinner) and intend to go back to both of those, as the boys enjoyed those too (they love the classic characters and also the Winnie the Pooh characters)! We will have 2 days at MK so one dinner will be at CRT and the other will be at Crystal Palace.

I don't think CRT is really worth the money, yet I've been there numerous times. I do think if it's something you've been wanting to do for so long that you should do it. Whether or not you ever choose to go back you will be happy you tried it once. Your sons will be fine. My boys were around that age the first time we ate there and they liked it. Now that they give them swords, well, even better. My 15 year old DS happily accepted his sword when we were there in January and he played with it, swordfighting my DD 6, when we got outside. princess: pirate:

I say GO! Enjoy! It was a big thing for me to eat in the castle too. Oh, and we enjoyed breakfast. Yummy!

As someone else said, if you have always wanted to do CRT, then you should do it! :goodvibes We did dinner and enjoyed ourselves. I have heard very good things about CRT breakfast.

Not from me, lol. We had breakfast there in January (our 3rd time) and it was the worst. The food was just okay, our server was just okay, and the princesses sped by so fast I'm surprised they aren't blurred in my photos. :rotfl:

I went there for my 38th Birthday! If I could change it, would I... no. Would I go again ....no. We went for dinner, the food was pretty good, nothing better than a 1 table service meal. The character interaction (with my kids) was horrible. The atmosphere - AWESOME!! We had the Dp, but I am a planner , I know the cost, so I would have come to terms with it before we went. So, if you want to do it and it's in your budget, then do it!! Enjoy!:goodvibes

I'm going to try to get reservations for this year for my 3 boys. I think they will like the idea of going in the castle, not so much Cinderella. I think it will be great.

We are going in September and taking our friend's reservation, they decided two meals are better than on on DP ;-) Does anyone know if they will give us a hard time because the name will be different on our ID than on the reservation? Do they still ID you at the podium before they seat you?

If you can get ressies, I would definitely recommend it! We've done Breakfast 1X and DInner 2X, and loved it. I have 2 boys who were 5+7, 7+9, 8+10 at the time. They were definitely not 'into' the princesses, but Alladin was cool (don't know if he's still there). I personally loved them and I thought the food was really good!

We ate lunch there last Nov with my 5 yr old girl and 4 yr old boy. My son fell asleep (too exhausted) during the meal and woke up with a sword beside him and bright red lips on his cheek where Snow White had kissed him. It was great. Our whole group thought the food was very good. The Major Domo's shepherd's pie was good. We are going this year for breakfast just to give it a try. I definitely say go for it!!

It's not worth the money but everyone should experience the inside of the castle once. If you have wanted to go then by all means go! I hope you have a great birthday!

Thanks, all. I was figuring that for price ($22) the food can't possibly be worth it. (How can you make eggs, bacon, and breakfast pastries THAT good? LOL). But for me it's all about location, location, location. Sounds like breakfast might be best, before the park opens. Which characters are at the breakfast?

I have a son and wanted to go there for my birthday so I booked it. My son loved it and the princesses gave him so much attention and I got amazing pictures of him being kissed my princess. He was 2 1/2 at that time. My husband, my son and I enjoyed our breakfast selection. I thought I would do it for me and plus I figure my son is too young to care but in fact in loved it and had a blast. In fact, he requested if we can eat in the castle again for our next trip...he is four and can't wait to see to eat in the castle. I think he likes the idea of going to the castle. He thinks Mickey lives there not Cinderella. Hope this helps.
