So I get a phone call from my neighbor yesterday @ 4pm. She says "we are thinking of going to Disney on Sunday". I say "as in this Sunday???". She confirms yes, this Sunday. Of course I am so excited for them but they have never been to Disney before. They have no room reservation or plane tickets. Her husband thinks they can just "wing it" which of course they can, but... oh boy. Keep in mind, I am the type of person who make my ADRs right at the 180 mark, many of them based on what park we plan to be at because I subscribe to Touringplans.com. But hey, if someone offered me a trip on Sunday I would be all over it!

Anyhow, she wants to know where we stayed during out last trip and I tell her the Beach Club. We talk some more and she says the Beach Club sounds like a great location for her family. Sooooo.... late last night I get an e-mail:

"The Beach Club is $2,100 (garden view) for 4 nights"

And that's not even for the Villas! I told her to try AAA in the morning and am truly hoping they get to go, b/c I will have so much fun helping them plan in the next 48 hours. But my point is I LOVE MY DVC! We are in the process of adding on a 3rd contract and if it goes thru we will get 100 points for around $6K. Once in awhile it is nice to know we made the right decision to become members! :thumbsup2

I would be way too stressed trying to wing a trip to Disney, but, even with a "winged" trip, I bet they will have a great time. :goodvibes

You know "Spur of the moment" is cool and and all but WOW...when you hear about those kind of price's I agree, I love my DVC even more. I could pick up a a great contract with that $ and have years of trips on it....Shawnpirate:

Winging it at this time of year will be very interesting! I talked to a friend who lives in Orlando on Wednesday. I had asked him to check into the new hot dogs at Casey's so he was giving me an update. I mentioned that the new HM queue line was open. He told me it would have to wait for another day as MK was wall to wall people. In other words, they should be prepared for very crowded conditions!

:scared1: New hot dogs at Casey's??? I hope they didn't get rid of the mini corn dogs. That's my favorite lunch and DH loves the hot dogs. Tell me more!

Check the Dining board - there are plenty of posts on the subject. He had a regular dog and it is now on a white bun (looks like a small loaf of bread). He didn't say if the wheat buns are totally gone. The new dogs are a Chicago dog (although if you are from Chicago, it is NOT a Chicago dog), a chili dog (I believe with or without slaw). Corn dog bites are still there.

Thanks Figment - I'll check the dining board, sure glad my corn dogs are still there.
