who is looking so healthy after her bout with cancer- those of you who have been on the DIS for a while know Peggi and her famous pin swaps. We met today at the Big E - the New England state fair and i wanted to share these family pictures with you all. This is part of her family - son David, Daughter-in-law Karen, grandson Ian and new baby grandson Nicholas!

Ok in the first picture why is Peggy staring at that dude with the beard. And in the second picture, why is that crazy lady holding Peggy? I have to admit, she looks a lot younger than the last time I saw her.

Caroline,
It was so great to see you today. What a surprise that we went on the same day.
Jeff, still the same me, but get a load of the curly hair. I used to have straight string, now I have curl. Well at least there is one good thing from having them put all that poison in my body.
That beautiful little angel is my grandson Nicholas Joseph. He was born just 2 weeks ago. Yes, I know, they insisted on bringing him to the Big E. I went along because I figured I could protect him a little. I offered to stay home and babysit but they wouldn't let me, they insisted we go together.
I don't spend much time on the boards anymore. Not that I don't want to, but having Nicholas in my life has made everything else 2nd place.
Hope everyone is well, I miss all of you and hope I can get to the next event and we can all say hello. Peggie

:cool1:

and Nicholas looks like an absolute sweetie! :goodvibes

Enjoy him now as much as possible while he's so little - as you know, they grow up so fast! (Sometimes too fast! - Bonnie will be 10 and Kellie will be 8 this year! :earseek: )

lots of love,

Sandy (and Brian, Bonnie & Kellie, too!)

Great pictures Caroline! Thanks for posting them. It's great to see you Peggie!!

Thank you for sharing these happy family photos! Enjoy that adorable baby!!

Peggie! I just love seeing good news about you! :flower:

Is it just me or does the New England State Fair look just like the American Adventure in Epcot? And when did New England become a state? I know I've been gone but you would think someone would have told me they were adding a star to the flag or something. So what kind of strange and unusual foods do they have at the New England State Fair?

Jeff

My dear Jeff - let a native New Englander, one from a certain section of the northeast, attempt to address your questions. Trust me Jeff, I have missed this banter!!!!!

There are 6 brick buildings, representing the six NE states, all which look similar to the Amer, Adventure; but although I wish I were there (in WDW), we were really in front of the Connecticut building at the BIG E (Eastern States Exposition).

As far as foods, each state building has foods traditional to that state. You can go from Vermont with a sugar high from maple sugar candy, to Rhode Island and the best clams ever.

Jeff, you and Trina need to come out east one of these years, and enjoy all the great things NE has to offer!!! Caroline

You know, you 're right about the guy with the beard behind Peggi...who is he and why is he in my picture?

And here I thought the Big E was some kind of code word for a super sized hamburger or something. I swear, you people from the northeast have some very strange customs. First your trees change colors every fall, then you have large brick buildings fashioned after Disney locations where you serve cuisine that represents geographic areas then if I'm not mistaken, you freeze rain until it becomes white crystals and let it sit on your lawn for months on end starting as early as October or November. These are all very foreign customs to us in Arizona. We are just average normal people who drive our cars wearing oven mitts from June until September. Some time I am going to have to come out east and see what these things are like, right now they are just inconceivable.

Jeff

Hey, Jeff....You should come visit in October, that's when we celebrate another crazy Eastern custom -- the changing of the clocks!

Changing clocks? Whatever would cause you to do that? Here in Arizona we believe in the Ron Popeil method of time, "You just set it, and forget it!"Jeff
