Want to try something fun...

this there a program besides photobucket that works here??? my photobucket acct had too many hits on it this month so pics aren't showing up right now - they will on the First

I use Shutterfly to post photos here. Very easy.

Haha that was all we had back then. The selection in1999 was awful!!! and only 8 1/2x 11.

I will have to go pull DD#1's book and get some pics. :)

Actually, I was lucky enough to find 12 x 12 when I started the "modern" method of scrapping for DD in 1995! Back then, I bought anything and everything I could find, whether I really liked it or not! I felt lucky to find it!

Okay... I've been scrapping since about 1976.... originally in a "scrapbook" where you attach stuff directly to the page. And photos were EXPENSIVE, so I mostly used ephemera and such. I DO have that original scrapbook too!

Then I did some "pre-modern" scrapping in the mid-80's when dating my DH. Used those "magnetic" photo pages, construction paper, newspaper clippings (for titles and such).

And of course, started what we all think of as scrapping when DD was born in 1995.

So what do you want to see!???:confused3:laughing: ...................P

I guess I need to go dig out a newer page to do a side by side. My firsts are horrible!!!

LOL C'mon!!!! We all posted those firsts!!! They can't be THAT bad!

Ohhhh....what an awesome timeline! I personally would love to see them all!!!

hey I used those same mom and dad stickers! I think its kind of funny that all our first pages look so similiar, simple, things "floating around" and hand cutting pieces... " baby we've come a long way "

everyone has to share their firsts, come on and join in the fun :thumbsup2

One thing I noticed when looking at my first album is I included a lot more mementos like ticket stubs, cards, receipts, etc. I hardly do that now, and usually use more embellishments.

Ok here is the first page:

I had to "redo" DD#1's album in 2005, it was 8 1/2x11 and the stuff wasnt sticking anymore so I put it in a CM album as is, I did re-do a few pages, but this one I just put them on a 12x12 page :confused3

Here is my very last page from the other night. Not sure there is much of a difference since it was just a Mickey page from our 2008 trip :goodvibes

Rachal---great comparisons! I don't think they are the same!! Simple is still good!!!

Cheryl - lol @ the shape variety! What a difference, right?!

Rachel - I love your first page! The captions are so cute...kids writing is my fav at any age!!! The newest page is beyond your years....very talented!!

Not newest but some of my newer pages. (newest was a 6x8 turned 8 1/2x11 album, not thrilled with the results.)

I love how we all went from shapes and cutting around the pictures to more squares and rectangles :) ( without rounding the corners)

Love the comparisons and how far we have come. I will go dig out my first page as I remember it very well and a more recent one.

Here is my first page

and a two pager I did over the weekend

So many of the pages I have done lately are really simple.

Okay, I swear I edited my feet out of the picture before posting, photobucket is screwy!

Isn't it wretched!! I have contemplated redoing them to make them better but then I'd still have to keep the original because it just shows how far I've come. The AKL page is from my first album and our first Disney trip. The album took me 2 years to finish so I can flip through it and see how I have progressed.

A lot of mine are more simplistic too. Clean lines, not a lot of embellishment. The photos are straight!!!
