What should I request for a standard studio at VGF, other than high floor? Which view is considered the most desired? (View of monorail, view of fountain, etc?) Is it possible to glimpse at the lake? Should I request odd or even numbered room? TIA.

Many of the standard view rooms have a glimpse or even a pretty good view of the lake. I think that requesting facing towards the Main GF building will give the most room options for the room assignor to keep you from looking over the porte cochere.

There really are no bad rooms at the GF, with the possible exception of the 2nd floor rooms that overlook the port cochere. Do you prefer high floor or low floor? I would ask for that. Would you prefer a view of the monorail, wedding pavilion, golf course, and Poly? Or would you prefer a view of the Grand Floridian main building, with the monorail off to the left?

Personally, I prefer the view of the GF main building, but last time I stayed, I arrived early and they had a room ready for me on the golf course side. It was a great room. I still prefer the other side, but i am totally happy if I get the other view. I just make sure to ask for a high floor.

There are three very fast elevators at VGF, so requesting a high floor does not slow you down.

I wouldn’t want the villas right next to the entry doors on the first floor.
