I'm gonna be dreaming about the Classico event, I booked it for 6 different dates.

I wonder if anyone ever tests their instructions before they release them. Last weeks Warm Delights instructions were wrong for how much water to add to the mix. It hasn't been the first time.

No I dont think they do, or they wouldnt send outhte idiotic instructions and supplies that they do. I know this wasnt the first evetn I thought this but today I was doing the Nutella spread. (and i know i should have though tit before but didnt ) and they send me what to spread the tiny saltine crackers....a steak knife...!!!

hello, with its pointy top do you know HOW HARD it is to grab spread fro the container..lol. I have the event again on friday so i am bringing plastic normal knives..lol

My first event went really well today. It got off to a bit of a rough start but it ended up being a lot of fun.

I was 30 minutes late because I was supposed to be going to a Winn Dixie store but unbeknownst to me the store I booked is actually a WD affiliate called SaveRite. So I'm driving all over creation looking for a WD and wondering how on earth I've missed it, cursing mapquest for their horrible directions and trying to get the store on the phone. Finally I got through to the store and they clear up my confusion and help me find the store.

So a note to everyone doing Winn Dixie events, if it's in an area you aren't familiar with you may want to call the store ahead of time and see if it's really a WD or if it's a SaveRite and save yourself a headache.

So I get to the store and everyone is super friendly, the managers didn't care that I was late, told me not to worry about it, they were just glad I was there. :) The store manager got my kit for me, the assistant helped me get a table (I hadn't planned to use one, the instructions didn't say to bring it but he thought it'd be easier on me and he was right). The customer service manager came out later and introduced herself to me and was really nice. They all kept asking me if I needed anything and if I was alright. The store manager freaked me out a little though, he was like make sure you finish up before it gets dark, you don't want to be around here after dark... :scared1: It wasn't the nicest of neighborhoods but everyone I came in contact with was very nice. One of the managers brought me a chair to sit in (I didn't use it, I sat my stuff in it) and another one offered to get me a bottle of water. I think they felt bad because I was outside but it wasn't bad out there. It was shady and not unbearably hot. It would be nice to encounter such friendly managers at every store.

I had one older man come up to my table and he was like where do I sign up? So I explained to him what I was doing and he was like oh, I thought you were taking applications for a husband. LOL

I ran out of surveys/gift cards around 3pm though so I called the help desk and they told me I could go home. So I was sad I didn't get my 6 hours but it was still a really good first day. I had a lot of fun. I have really missed interacting with people like this, I didn't realize how much. :goodvibes

Sounds like you had a good day... I wish we had more places to do events.. Maybe one day Publix will ask Mass Connections for help... Too bad Krogers don't do events very often.... We have tons of Publix and Krogers around my area... It would help with all the people we have doing events in my area....

ok wow i have to day that i dont like this online reporting thing one bit. I have no idea what time i call to activate my card and i certainly get my managers signature BEFORE i swipe out. Wow, i guess now im going to have to track minutes, this is a bit ridiculous, am i the only one that thinks this?

And i know they sent an email out saynig that they wont fire you for working over your alloted time but why would they be worried about this. If want to be there 1/2 hour before and set up and work, its my time. (not that i do but i usualy clock in 15 minutes beofre just because thats they way it works out from when i get there.

Oh well just venting, i was just annoyed at having to fix my minutes..lol

Michelle, I think that even tho you werent there for the 6 hours you should stil get paid for 6 hours. If you run out and the help desk send you home I have never had a problem getting paid for the full time.

On another note, im glad your event went well. Funny is we ont have any save rites around here, they are all winn dixies..lol. and i agree the winn disie i was at today, everyone was very nice and helpful.

That would be wonderful if I get paid for the full event. I guess I just assumed I wouldn't but that would be great. I hope I do.

I had never even heard of Save Rite, this store was about 30 minutes from my house in an area I truly have never been in. It was really dumb though because all of the shopping carts said WD and all of the store brand products were WD and on the receipt it has WD's website. Some of the employees even had on WD aprons. Who knows, it was just very confusing trying to find the store since it had the wrong name!

Wenpop ~ I have a friend who does events at Publix but I don't know if the company she works for would be the same as who handles Publix in GA. The next time I talk to her I will ask her who she works for and I'll let you know if you want. Can't help with Kroger, we don't have those down here. I went to one when I visited Atlanta though because Alton Brown is always in Kroger on his show and I wanted to see what it was like. LOL I'm such a dork! :rolleyes1

That's amazing. :thumbsup2 If I get 8 in a month it's a miracle. ST seems to have way more events than WM, KMart & Target combined.

Event Instructions - Not only was the water amt for the Warm Delights wrong, the servings for the Curves bar was wrong. Six bars per box cut into six = 36 servings. Direction say - 24. I noticed this in advance and bought less.

If I'm not seeing a check cut today on the ADP site, can I assume no check is coming this week, or is it possible I'll see it listed tomorrow? :confused3

If it didn't post today (actually midnight last night) then it didn't make this weeks payroll unfortunately.

I've been thinking about my cream cheese event for tomorrow. I guess I'm bringing the toaster like it says instead of toaster oven. It will take less room on the table & I can't exactly use the top of a toaster oven for display space of cream cheese or samples. So, 20 yr old toaster it is then. I'll give it an extra good shine before I leave tomorrow. Hope those bagels don't get stuck inside.

So, any other votes on bread aisle or refrigerated bagels?

new events:

Maybelline/Garnier Fall Beauty Event WM Oct 13

Archer Farms Brie & Ham Ciabatta ST Oct 20

Archer Farms Cherry Preserves & Cheesecake ST Oct 20

Neither... front of the store... live a little lol!

Hi everyone - need your input..

My dad died suddenly on Tuesday, he was only 66. I wrote to Liz about 3:30 am Wed. and told her that I cannot do Saturday's event and asked if she would write to this guy I somewhat know who works for MC (I don't know his phone or email) to see if he would take it and to give him my email and phone and I'd have someone get the kit to him. I'm pretty sure he would do it, but Liz hasn't replied and it's been about a day and half. I just got home from making the funeral arrangements and I have to leave again soon (200 miles away).

Does anyone have any suggestions? It's the box of Warm Delight Minis and the kit with the table, cutting board, etc. If I don't hear from anyone will I be in trouble for having the items here and not being able to do the event?

I unbooked an event that I already had a kit for--MC response was to just trash the kit. If you think someone may pick it up if you unbook now, could you just drop it off at the store?

My condolences on your dad's passing.

I think normally you ar suposed to drop off at store, altho i would hope thye make exceptionas obviously your circumstance are sudden.

btw, the merchandising evetn i was just emaild and was told it was up to $26 so i may pick it up.

Amen! Finally booked something! The Maybelline/Garnier event for 10/13! I've not even checked my calendar to make sure I can do it that day! I was just too excited!:woohoo: 11am-3pm though.

This will be my 1st event since the new reporting system! Anything I should know or worry about or is it working out better for all of you that have been working?

Lanajae- I'm so so so very sorry about your dad passing away!! Please know I'll say some prayers for you! Had he been sick?? 66 is not very old
I'm so sorry! :grouphug:

ldb. just make sure you note your times to the minute as the new system makes you report all your time not only worked but spent on activating card, getting manager signature and so on and so forth, rather annoying really.
