For those who have Winn Dixie supermarkets in your area I just got a new event for them, Winn Dixie Shopper Survey Collection. On Date is 9/24 and there were lots of off dates to choose from as well. It's a 6 hour event. No instructions yet but since it's a week from today I would hope they will be up soon. Looks like that will be my first event. :)

OK guys, I humbly request your help in explaining the differences between SPi events at KMart and TMT events at Target. I just printed my event instructions for 10/14. It will be my first event with TMT. First, there is no link for a report. Does Target have a different system? Secondly, I was told by TMT that they send the kits to me, but the event instructions say the kit will be at the store. It also says the table will be in the kit at the store. Do I not bring the MC table I've been using? Third, I understand that Target events are always set up at Food Avenue. The Food Avenue at my Target is just after the registers and gets no traffic until people have checked out. Is this true for most of you? I read through all the stuff TMT sent and it wasn't super helpful. I thought it best to turn to the experts! I need some Dove!!

Target event kits are almost always sent to the store. The only Target kit that has been sent to my home was for a Tassimo demo where we needed to know how to operate the machine prior to the event. Target events always include a table. I always take a spare table and leave in the car incase they can’t locate the kit. Target demos are to be set up in Food Avenue. As HERSEY indicated, they are not looking for the immediate sale, more of an introduction to the product. Shortly after I started, I called my TMT coordinator and said my Target Food Ave was as you were exiting the store and should I locate closer to the product. My coordinator replied that Target events were not about sales. It was more for customer interaction and product introduction. I now go to a different Target where the LOD (Lead on duty - a Target term you'll hear) is “on the ball” and their Food Ave is as you enter the store.

Has anyone had to pass a quiz to work an event? I got this email:

Thank you for booking the Cottonelle Stuff-A-Puppy event! You are required to pass a brief quiz to remain booked for this event. The quiz should not take more than 15 minutes and you are not to exceed one hour taking it. If you have not taken and passed this quiz within 24 hours you will automatically be un-booked for your event.

Then it gives ma a link.

Thanks for the info! Do most of the Target kits come with a table? If so, what do you do with all those spare tables?:confused3

Every Target event I've worked so far (15-18) has come with a table. That's how we get so many. :) Once my stack gets too high, I recycle the tables down to 6-8.

I think I had to take a quiz for Garnier.

Is it ever okay to use 2 tables? The upcoming Walmart Salute to Savings has so much going on at once and the microwave will take up half of one table.

Ummmmmm... I've NEVER gotten a kit at Target. The few times I've asked they said they couldn't find it. Should I hold my ground and not start until they "locate" it in the future?

I'm getting depressed! I've not had an event since Aug. 10th!!!! Nothing on the horizon through mid-Nov. either!:sad2:

I don’t believe ST events have kits. At “regular” Targets, if a kit can’t be located, the event instructions typically have you ask the manager for a training table and to call in and increase your budget to cover necessary supplies that were in the kit, or whatever the situation calls for etc….

I know this is early, but did anyone read the Event Instructions for the AF High Protein Cinnamon Cereal at Target on 10/14? If the featured product is not available when we arrive, we’re to wait 2 HOURS for product to be delivered then execute event for the remainder of the time. :confused3

ldb1030 - I believe you don't like to do food event do you? The only thing around here is for food. If I didn't do food, I wouldn't have anything either.

kpauley- right,:sad2: I have not done food events but there are not even any of those being listed either!

LoL wait 2 hours for it to arrive... is the magical cereal fairy going to be making special appearances that day all around the country.

I have had to take a test for Target (WAY BACK WHEN..only once, now it says trained everytime target pops up), for a Wine event (that was later canceled) and then for the most recent Meijers events i have this weekend. (which don't do offdates! Dammit, they are like Targets!)

Tests are wicked easy, even a caveman can do it. :thumbsup2

I've had a few kits for ST, all but two went to the store. I had to unbook my last event after they sent me the kit with samples. So then I had to drive 30 minutes to deliver the kit! :sad2:
The other kit I received at home had coupons in it.

If I'm at a regular Target, I ALWAYS take a table (leave it in car until needed) because you never know if they will find your kit! I've found part of my kit in a pile in the backroom, and never found the table. I think they thought the table was just another box, and tossed it after opening the kit.

I just wish the stores would leave our kits alone and not open them!!!!

Quizes are easy and if all else fail open another browser and just go back and forth to you get all the answers. Most of the time, quizes are for enhanced events so you should get paid more for taking the quizes. Atleast that is what happen last year with Tassimo, the wine events and such.

I, too, am seriously bummed that it appears that Meijer will not do offdates. I am afraid that too many events will be left not covered and then we will not keep Meijer. Not doing offdates must be why Daniel has ignored my several requests to do them on a different date. He coulda just told me though!!!

Brivers---Has he answered you about the time issue yet? I am not worried yet over this weekend as I will be doing a double and working lesser times but I am finding this whole time thing a bit aggrivating and I think I am still PO'd that Michigan did not get 'THE RAISE'!!!

Oh and in case I have not complained enough--I see that my check was cut on the 12th but I still have not gotten it.

There. I am done for now. Back to happy!

Can’t wait for the Cereal fairy to show up. :rotfl2: I have a feeling this will be the new “directive” for Target events where product was shipped to them. Remember last Spring when Choxie and Cookies were no where to be found and we could leave with “show up” pay. Now we’re going to have to stay for the whole two hours to get “show up” pay. :headache: Highly doubt they’ll pay us for the whole event.

ZanneMarie - There’s one Meijer store left here unfilled. I’ve emailed Daniel about working a double, but no reply yet.

Six boxes showed up today for my 3 Salute to Savings events. The Fed Ex guy backed up our drive and left them in front of the garage door instead of on the porch - that’s a first.

Gee, you think you are PO'd... :rotfl2: I am pissed majorly about that!

No he has not replied to me about the time. I did a double this past weekend (they were originaly 5hour events but he told me to work NO LESS than 3-1/2 each. I did almost 4hours each and did my time according to the outlined times I stated early (15mins before, 3-1/2 hours between CI and CO), 15mins after)

I wrote all over my event form that Daniel said to work these hours for a double and that I am to be paid the full 5hour rate for both. I also included the E-mail where he gave me those hours to work.

Is that the norm if you are doing two 5 hour events in on day to have the hours cut by 1-1/2 hours an event??? Question for everyone who has worked a double... how many hours at each event did you work?

The two previous times I have done a double they happened to be 4 hour events so I worked 4 and 4. For this one Daniel told me to work 10-1:30 at Meijer then go to WalMart and work 2-4. So that is what I am going to do.

Oh and maybe I am more than PO'd about the lack of raise but I am trying to stay happy and upbeat and with the day that I am having that is becoming increasingly more difficult! Pretty soom I am going to turn red and my head is going to start spinning!!! Not pretty.

Kpauley---hopefully he will answer positively as both brivers and I got the ok to do a double although for mine I am doing one Meijer and Walmart--they were closer together and I offered to do 2 Meijer but he chose the Walmart for the 2nd one.

10-1:30 okay thats cool for my first one (5 hour original as with what I did last weekend) what is the walmart even where you are only working 2 hours? what was the original time?

So you are getting paid for 10 hours and only working 5-1/2... that works. I seem to have to work 7 that day.
