Flat Earth for 7/21 (SATURDAY) is 1-5pm. DH's just called from Vegas. I ended up booking it. I don't think he wants to spend any weekends with me.

I've tried the Hershey Kissables before. They tasted weird to me. I've got to go pack a "just in case" kit for tomorrow. No motivation.

I've been submitting photos for EVERY event now. Those points sure rack up faster that way. I have 50+ just for this quarter! Almost 75, but not quite. Has anyone ever sent for the letter of recommendation? What's it for? I'm not applying for anything else where I would need one.

Its been a while since I googled MassConnections or Mass Connections. Some new stuff popping up. Found it interesting that they have a page on a Michigan college website.

Ok...I had to check this out and see which college had this on thier website. Figures it is Michigan State. MSU is practically in my backyard so no wonder there is so much competition for work--not only are there all the 'regular' people there also could be a never ending supply of students.

I did the Hershey's Kissables, Truffles and Reeses Crispy Crunchy bars last week. I didn't have any trouble getting people to try them. It went over pretty well. Some didn't care for them but mostly they liked them. I have had the Hershey's Truffles before and I don't care for them. I love Truffles but don't like those ones.
I had another question I ran into last week. Does anyone know what those postcards are for? They were in my box with no explination. I tried to look on the website but I don't think it was really clear there either. Has anyone else passed these out? It looks to me like they just fill them out, put a stamp on it then mail it to MC. I'm assuming MC forwards them to the troops from there.
I apologize if this has already been disscused in the gap of pages I haven't read yet. I'm still working on it but there's well over 400 pages there ya know. I try to just read some when I get a chance and I haven't been posting much while I'm trying to catch up on the back reading. I sure have been getting a lot of helpful tips to put to good use though.

I can't find my swipe-out receipt anywhere! I've been looking for hours. I did swipe out. I have my purchase right here. I pushed my carriage aside, went back to buy cat food with my own money & have that receipt for 4:18pm. What happens if I can't find my swipe-out receipt? I thought those cards are "real-time". Can't they see what time & the amount? It was a Peanut's M&M - less than 75 cents.

I did the Hershey's Kissables, Truffles & Reeses. It was warmer in the store than outside. Outside was 82. Everyone was complaining how warm the store was. My chocolate samples were soft! I should have tried to find a refrigerator to put them in, but didn't think of it. Duh! I think the heat effected my brain today.

My day started out by oversleeping & awaking to no electricity. Happening alot (no power) for some reason lately. I'm sick of resetting clocks. A t-storm just rolled thru & it took me an hour to try to post this.

Is this day over yet?

Splash - While I was waiting for them to find my Event kit at Kmart Saturday, a customer wanted to return an item she purchased and didn’t have the receipt. She gave the CS clerk her VISA number and the clerk was able to locate her transaction that way. I’d think they could reprint you a receipt, if you still need one, by giving them the MC debit card number. My Kmart was hot too - always is. The milk cooler was in my line of vision and there was an empty shelf, so I stored my Hershey’s there. Otherwise, the Crispy Crunch bars would have been a mess.

MaMa3Princess - I’m still waiting for Flat Earth Crisps too.

millerwdwfans - I think your assumption of the “Thinking of you” postcards is correct. I've had very few actually take them. When I tell them to fill it out and mail to MC and they forward a "batch" to the troops they don't bother to take a card. I sure hope postage is not the issue.

Kmart must be saving $ by not running the air. My event was also very warm. Luckily I was set up right by a small freezer with ice cream treats and I popped my Reese in there for a minute before I cut them. No kit, as usual. Had taken leftover items along - anticipation. Would have liked the coupons, they always help sales. Also nothing on the horizon in my area.

Thanks for the info. I guess I'll email Daniel, because this Kmart is about 45 minutes away. If I absolutely need a receipt, its going to have to wait until Wednesday maybe. Luckily its the same town DH works in.....and he won't be returning to work until Tues - but I'm working that day & need the card with me. I'm so mad at myself. I don't lose stuff normally. Ugh!

Ohhhh...I was getting excited! The only events left were in the Detroit area (too far from me!). I don't know if that is the only place they are or I was too slow. Big Bummer--I need the work!

Anyone noticing that while there are absolutely no events... the ones that ARE popping up are all 4-hour ones now?

What happened to the 5-hour events at kmart and walmart? they are have been shrunk to 4 hours... which kinda sucks even more for those states (cough... Michigan) who did not get the $10 across the board raise.

Yeah, I only had two guys take some. I just had them on my table and they asked about them. I felt odd saying anything to anyone since I didn't really know anything about the postcards if they asked. I just left them on my table in sight and they were the only ones that asked about them.

I noticed it was really warm in the K-Mart I was in last Saturday too. I had to dig through the Reese's bars to find the ones that felt the least mushy before I bought my 35. Had some trouble cutting some of them too. They were messy. A couple of people commented on them being mushy but they still went over pretty well. I never would have thought about sticking them in a nearby cooler. That's why I love this thread!

Maybe you could try calling the store you were at & telling them the situation. Hopefully they could pull up the info & possibly fax you the receipt. I have a fax machine if you don't, you can pm me & i'll give you the # & when it arrives I will go to the post office. It's a long shot but it might be worth a try. Good luck Splsh!

I did Copperetone only today. This was my event that was originally scheduled for 6/23 & they moved it to today. Does anyone know if the Coppertone only events are enhanced pay? Keeping my fingers, eyes, & toes crossed that it's a yes.

I would imagine so, since ALL (9?) the Coppertone events I did were enhanced pay.

Splash I bring a clipboard with me to each event. It has my instructions, report form and I clip the receipt right there too. I have a fear that one day I will loss the receipts too. With the clip board I have something to write on when I need it.

I hope you are able to get a dup receipt.

Flat Earth Crisps are finally available here for 7/21. I'm now up to two events for July! I've noticed Target events now have the "training" with them. Do you think too many people didn't know their product?

Splash - Even if you can't produce your "check out" receipt, you should still be paid the base rate of $50. What you'd lose is the "Bonus" of $12 for meeting all of the swipe in/out, computerlink, and report form requirements.

Oh, well that's not so bad if I can't get a receipt. I'm going to see if DH needs to go into work for anything this weekend now that he just arrived home from Vegas. If so, I'll tag along & go back to the store.

Hersey, the clipboard is a good idea. I just use a big paperclip. I'm wondering if maybe I never took the receipt from the cashier? I remember him asking me if I wanted a bag & said no. It was so freaking hot in there...we were talking about that...I was wiping sweat off my forehead....but I just can't find a receipt. Oh well.
