I like it better when I'm the only demo. No "chatty kathys" to deal with.

I totally agree, either I am always graced with the "IF I were you...." demoer or the Negative Nancy and I do get the Chatty Kathy's all the time I dont mind being friendly but when you spend the whole time coming to my table and talking it really gets under my skin.

I told you they were twins mine had some fat free ice cream too.

Poohgirl, along time ago I realized that low product or no product is always a possibility when demoing. I called the weekend hotline and I really expressed frustration and one time I was so upset they told me to demo a whole nother product. Ever since then I demo either a like item or I call weekend. Gas is too expensive to ride to a store for nothing. Now a lost kit to a store is a whole nother thing

I am scheduled for Bissell tomorrow & we are due for a Nor'easter here- has anyone ever had to choose the bad weather option for an event? I really want to do the event but if we get the weather we are supposed to get there's no way I will drive.

momof296&02 Luckly I haven't had to cancell due to weather. I do believe someone else had to because of an ice storm if I remember correctly.
I hope the storm is not to bad.

Ya'll did the HH event with other flavors? My store was out of the Chesseburger Macaroni. I read the instructions and it said to make a 75 cent MC swipe out hmmmm I wish I had done that now since I would have liked the whole pay for the day.

I have the boring Bissell event tomorrow.

pssss, I'm not good at always following directions. I read the directions...made an exucutive decision to sell the 12 cheeseburger macaroni & then move onto other flavors. lol I was going to call & ask...and then said screw it. I had driven 50 minutes & paid $1 in tolls to get there....and would have to do the same to get home. I wanted some $. lol

I don't call them much...but when I do, they've always seemed to suggest another flavor or something to make the event run. So, I did. If in doubt, you can always call. I wrote it on my report form.

Heck one time an event said if no store display, to go home. I had 4 of them. None of the stores had the displays, but they all had the products. I ran the events anyways. Kept leaving messages telling them I'm running the event & if you aren't going to pay me because there is no display, call me back so I'll leave. I left ALOT of messages. No one ever called....and I got paid for all of them.

First of all...what a great thread!! I have been reading...and reading...and reading...well you get the idea. I finally received my MC card and sign in info today. I was a little disappointed because it looks like the only events in my area right now are on 5/5, which I can't do. Do they ever offer events on Fridays?

Congrats and welcome! They do offer events on Fridays often, just keep checking the website because new things will pop up or other people will cancel an event. I have found that the most common days for events are Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

LOL! Sounds like my day... boring as heck but I did manage to sell 5 of them (although 4 of the 5 actually came into the store to buy one... they were on sale for $19.99, regularly $39.99)

I have done 9 events so far. I always go through the check out with my table all boxed up and whatever else I might have to do my swipe out. Today is the first time I had a cashier argue with me that I needed to purchase my table I told her I was there doing a demo and had brought it with me. She finally gave up but I think she still thought I was trying to steal it

I don't usually read directions so well myself. Next time, I am just gonna go ahead with it. I'd rather have the whole days pay.

Gosh I have had a busy week!!! More Cinnamon rolls and HH...... Don't know how ya'll sell so many, I sold 5 HH..... and 6 Cinnamon rolls....
But I did sell 8 Orange Juice Sunday..... For the Orange juice who wants to pay 3.99 for Orange Juice, I must have been in the rich part of town....
No Cheddar power here yet, I'll keep an eye out, thanks!!!

DH has been itching to MS. I read up on it on Volition but it seemed like very little pay & a bit of a pain, especially when first getting started... now if I could find a company similar to the way MC operates I'd definately sign both of us up! Unfortunately, when you ask on Volition you get the standard answer to apply at the zillion companies that are listed & maybe you'll get a call , seems like a very secretive community.
