Received my first event check yesterday. :yay: Now if I could just get some more events.

I finally got paid for the Tassimo event! What was the training bonus supposed to be? I only got $10. Better than nothing I guess.

has anyone ever had to cancel due to weather?? do they let you reschedule?
Not that it will be a big deal but saw on the news this morning we may have ice and snow on Saturday when I'm doing Garnier.

Heard from Cassie about what to do it weather is bad. She said it would be find to call and reschedule for M-TH the next week which would work as I'm off on Thursday....but I won't make the $85.00 I'll make if I do it Saturday! :sad2:

2006 W-2

Assuming no one has received one yet, right? Please post when you do.

I sure hope we don't have to print them ourselves from ADP, because I still can't log-in to that stupid site. Can't imagine that we would need to since they do mail us the check & stub.

I've received all other W-2s. Just waiting on this one.

This is going to be a busy weekend for me...

My DW and I both have events on Saturday (same one ... Kellogs fruit water/cereal or something). Then Sun-Tuesday I have the same event as offdates. WOW my first time working 4 days in a row. Luckily I am off from my real job on MLK day!

Well today is my first event. I had to cancel the one on the 5th because I injured my back. Today is the Best of Life, so is tomorrow and then Sunday I'm doing the soup and fire roasted tomatoes. Should be an interesting weekend. A little nervous but not too bad.

In my area they couldn't seem to get the Hamburger Helper one covered. It was up for a while, went to off date and then was posted again for today's date. As far as I can tell no one around here wanted to touch that one! I was already booked or I might have given it a try. It seemed like a messy one and originally I didn't want to do it as my first but then the dates wouldn't work so I couldn't even try it as an off date. Oh well, maybe they'll try again. :confused3

I'll post either this evening or tomorrow morning to let you all know how it went. I'm going to take my camera and see if I remember to take pictures. Can't have Briver having all the fun!

Good luck!!! You'll do fine. :goodvibes Just remember to smile. Enjoy talking to the people. And no one knows if you are doing something right or wrong - besides you. ;)

You'll get the hang of it quick enough. :thumbsup2

Well I did it! It was a lot easier than I had in my head. I was all set up and ready to go by 11:20. Not bad for a newbie. I did meet a woman from another company and whew, I don't know. Ok, here is a picture of my tables. Get to do it all over again tomorrow. I think the hardest part was figuring the answers to the form. :confused3

Great job! :thumbsup2 Tomorrow you will be less nervous. Remember have fun. This is the best job to people watch. People are pretty strange depending on which store your at they get stranger :rotfl:

Not trying to be critical, but just a suggestion. I'm sure you probably didn't even notice, but in your picture you have the food on the opposite side of the table as the poster. Maybe tomorrow you might put the corn on the same side of the table as the poster shows.

I like your use of baskets & trays. :thumbsup2 (hehehehe)

So am I the only one who turns microwave around & stands behind the table?

I applied for this but I'm having a problem. I submitted my application online last Friday. I received an email reminding me to submit the jurat form by 1/12 or they would give other applicants priority over me. I faxed the completed form on Wednesday (1/10), but yesterday, my computer crashed and deleted all my email. I'm up and running again, but I have no idea if they sent me an email prior to that. Does anyone have an email address that I could use to contact them? I'm afraid they may have sent an email and it's lost forever.:sad2: Any help is appreciated.

I did notice....at the end of the day! I was a little nervous and I even put the smaller posters on the wrong side too. Oh well, today will be much easier.

Why didn't anyone tell me how SORE I am today?!! Just from standing, I ache all over! I guess that is what ibuprofen is for!

I was going to stand behind the table but it was soooooo slow that I wanted to be mobile! All day I only microwaved 12 of the corn so it didn't get used much. :confused3

TMT people, I found work!! Two weekends in a row! How about that! It is 1/28 and 2/3!!! Disney here I come!!!

Here are a couple of addresses to try: talent@massconnections.com or talent@eventsandpromotions.com.

Microcell: Congratulations. I'm also with TMT and not much has been available lately.

shelwoj: Congratulations on your first event. Didn't have any aches or pains after my 4 hr. event, but a 5 hr. event is upcoming. Like Splash, I liked the trays. Did they provide them for the event or were they yours?

cynjam: Your poster suggestion was very informative for me. Not sure if I would have thought of that or not.

I use my own tray & baskets. Gold plastic tray I had. Set of 2 black plastic dishwashable baskets from Dollar Store ($1) fit napkins & spoons perfectly.

And for those sore legs, I finally picked up an anti-fatigue mat at Staples. Maybe $15...I can't remember exactly. Its grey squishy. Just a tad longer than table. It fits nicely behind table & is great on the feet & legs.

It rolls up compact enough to fit inside my table if i don't have a lot of other stuff in there too. I just slip in into a trash bag when rolled up since its dusty / dirty from the floor.

But I've been soooooooo tempted to wear a pair of black crocs....the kind without any holes. They would just look like clogs.

Having a lovely ice storm here at the moment!:cold:
Not sure I'll make it to my Garnier event tomorrow or not!:confused3
Will decide in the morning!:sad2:
