Another one back from Tassimo, my first event.

Of course, the manager was not expecting me though it wasn't a problem. He had me set up at the end of the Food Avenue which was at the end of the last register farthest from the door. I will say there wasn't really a better spot if you needed to be near the Food Avenue. Thanks goodness I had a long heavy duty extension cord as I had to go 25feet through the Pizza Hut stand and behind the counter for an outlet. My customers were few and far between. I only used 1 1/2 gal. of water and only 3 or 4 people used the creamer that I bought two of. Here in OH we were having a "heat wave" and most people didn't want a hot beverage or already had had enough coffee for the day. Don't know if I was audited or not. Those who asked questions, I feel like I knew the answers. I tried to invite people in for a sample, but my location had me too far from most potential customers and I felt like I couldn't stray to far as the directions made it quite clear not to leave the machine and samples unattended. I made samples as I had a customer. I tossed a lot out as they got cold before the next person was interested. Overall I think I did fine for my first time and a lot of people seemed interested in the system. I've cleaned and boxed up my machine and the UPS has already called about a pickup.

Hopefully, more events will open soon.

Well, my Target had 5 machines, lots of T disks, but only one of the "featured" flavors. Didn't really matter, though, since I didn't sell anything!!! So much for the top sales contest.

I was plugged in by the Gift Reg. machine. They found some extension cords in the back room, to add to mine, to make it work. I've demoed here before, so they all knew where I wanted to be set up at.

They had already pulled 10 boxes of Choxies off the shelf for me. Apparently, no kit was sent.

I did have one employee tell me the Tassimo Rep was in the store, earlier in the week, talking to them. That put me on my toes. I figured it would be easy for him/her to stop back when I was there.

I got pretty dry reciting my script over and over and over......
At least I stayed busy and didn't think about being hungry or tired or bored.

Well, I'm all done 'till the end of Jan. Thank heavens!

Happy Holidays!!

Tasimmo is my all time favorite demo!! I only had two machines and I sold both of those in the first two hours. Yep, those disapearing choxie never made it to my store either. THis is my third Tassimo event and never had choxies, however they requestioned me 7 boxes. Those things are yummy!! The Target really thanked me for selling two machines they were really like thank you!! I am done for the year. Yes, no more demo's till January. I am glad get to spend a weekend with the family. It has been a great year, cant help but to thank the OP for posting this thread and look how it has grown. Well Merry Christmas Dis demo'ers and Happy New Years!!! :goodvibes

Archer Farms Salmon was up for grabs here for 1/7 at the Super Targets. :cheer2:

I'm livid... still no response to the wine event issue I had weekend before last (it's a week today since I was told that they would get back to me ASAP).. but the kicker is that both my 12/22 & 12/23 wine events have now been unbooked & NOT BY ME!!!

I called every # I had for SPI & only got voice mails, I finally left one for Taylor, then I fired off another email to her & her Team Lead...

I want to know if these events were cancelled by the vendor &/or if MY reliability is in question...

Quite honestly I hold a position in my full time job where reputation is very important... My original email was already shared with the wine distributor & god knows who else... (I do live in small state!) the least they could do is let me know what is going on!

drgnfly30 I agree they should at least let you know if somethiing is a miss. How can you defend yourself if you don't even know if you did something wrong.

The one time I unbooked myself (I did call to explain first) my person called to ask why. She forgot that we talked about it. The agency resched event for a day I had a family thing previously scheduled.

Drgnfly30 - you definitely have a right to know what’s going on and I too would be livid. There is no excuse in someone not returning your calls in a timely manner.

When you “unbook” an event, do you receive an email or confirmation? I’ve read about individuals checking their events online only to find it unbooked without their knowledge. It only makes sense to me, when an event is unbooked, you’d be notified - at least by email.

I unbooked a slew of ProPlan events, it was my first, they called and booked me, and then I realized I'd be in WDW for 3 of them!! So I unbooked w/o notifying... :confused3

and I'm nervous about one wine event (one is in a grocery store, which I believe splsh says is boring) the other is in a wine store that regularly does wine tastings I go to - and its crowded for hours - and I'm only authorized to purchase 1 bottles of each of 4 wines, and do one ounce pours (I've been practicing!! lol) but I know people will sample each of the 4 wines, then go back and try their favs... one bottle will not last 5 hours guaranteed!

FYI - you'll find that most people DON'T want the full ounce - nor do they want to try all of them. You are only allowed to distribute 1 oz total so in theory if you gave out the full ounce they'd only be able to try one wine. Also in the 6 or so wine events I did do, not once did I run out or even close to it!

BTW - I was in no way notified that my two events were unbooked... I only stumbled across it on ebooking. Still no response to my emails or voice mails.

Nope, it wasn't me. ;) Haven't done a wine event. I haven't worked since mid Nov. And good thing, because I've been sick with one thing or another. :sad2: Lost my voice for good part of 3 days...but I've got it back now. :p

Hopefully, I'll be all better by my 1/6/07 event.

Airborne definitely failed me thru this cold.

I got one!!!! In my town no less!!!! Woohoo!!! There are Archer farms in my area- I got Asparagus 1/6 and there was Tortilla soup 1/13 and Halibut 1/14!!!!

Go get em!

I can't work the weekend of the 13th, big bummer, but my best friend is coming from Michigan and we haven't seen each other in 4 years, so I better not work!

We just got a lot listed for 1/6, 1/13, 1/14, and 2/11. Archer Farms Halibut, Kellogs again, Asparagus, chicken tortilla soup, etc.. Who-hoo. :cheer2:

I couldn't get in for over an hour this morning. I've been able to get in for the past hour though.

I've been trying off and on this afternoon and again just now. I thought it was my computer. I hope they are loading more jobs. :thumbsup2

Still can't get in.. starting to think they've fired me & blocked my IP addresses!

Still no word from Taylor or Nikki... I mean COME ON... I have a VP's email address & am NOT afraid to use it... How long do you guys think I should wait before escalating...? I originally emailed them with the issue on 12/10, Taylor said she'd look into it & get back to me "ASAP" a week ago, I emailed a follow up on 12/14, and again yesterday along with a voice mail.

Oh, I also emailed them questioning a $10 shortage in pay last Wednesday, no answer on that yet either....

When I couldnt get in I emailed them , they said it was my computer - to call them and I'd lose the ebooking rate!

I went to the wine store, they are loading my wine at the front - luckily the price isnt anywhere near $115 for 4 bottles!!

Thanks for the heads up (and splsh hope youre feeling better!!)

but,the wine store I'm booked at regularly does wine tastings - I cant imagine me usurping the owners who usually set up a row of tables, and you have at least 10 wines (I'm thinking 4 will be from my set) its just an event... much like the Party for the Senses!!

I will pour one ounce, the head of the wine tasting at the wine store when I introduced myself told me the distributor usually stays for the events, and was surprised I was "booked"... could be interesting!!
