Hello, all - just a quick note to synopize (sp?) my family's recent visit to the Hard Rock Hotel and its Club Concierge floor. We had reserved a pool-view room for our fourth visit to the hotel, but a very helpful employee at check in offered an upgrade to the concierge floor for an addition $30 per night - not something we'd ordinarily consider, but the spur of the moment, I decided "what the heck!" and accepted.
BEST $120 I'VE SPENT THIS YEAR! First, the special attention you get on the 7th floor is spectacular. The small team of very professional (and not unattractive!) concierges in the club lounge were dedicated to making sure we enjoyed our stay, had everything we needed, and had all the food and drink we wanted at our disposal. From making dining suggestions (we wanted to try some different, perhaps off-property restaurants) to calling for transportation to leaving welcoming notes and gifts in our rooms, we felt like royalty.
Speaking of food, we more than got our $30 per night back - generous continental breakfast (not your standard Holiday Inn fare,) great mid-day snacks, and fantastic "heavy ors d'vours" (or however you spell that ... it was dinner to me!) PLUS free beer, wine and soft drinks.
The best part - our daughter was disapointed on our first night there to return from the park after "cookie hour," but when we got back to the room from an evening swim, one of the concierges - Heather, we think - had delivered a HUGE plate of HUGE cookies with a note from Sponge Bob telling her it was "great to meet her today" ... dunno how they knew!
In short - spend the extra money. The service in the other Loew's Hotels is probably similar, but we're definitely going back to the 7th floor at HRH no matter what it costs!
Have fun
