Walt's Warriors (Team 7) Miles and Hours

JIM--Wow! I am so glad that you stopped and got IV fluids--smart move! Hope you are back to yourself!

CARRIE-- WOO HOO on the tri! What a great time improvement--way to go! I am searching for my first tri now.

JEN--doing the labor dance for you! Here's hoping Goofy comes soon and pain-free!

As for me...

A beautiful 4.6 mile run today and saw 2 eagles during my run. Man, I love Maine! :goodvibes Also did strength training and a core workout.

Totals = 4.6 miles and 95 minutes.

Half marathon is T-13 and counting.

Good evening Warriors! Today I did 3.77 miles in 60 minutes.

Carrie, you rock!!!! Congratulations on your second tri.

Jen, the last days waiting can be so difficult and uncomfortable. The finish line is in sight abd you get the prize!!!!

Hi everyone, I've been outside playing once more. I'll get my numbers together since I'll be stuck inside more of the day tomorrow I think. It's supposed to rain.

Jim, I'm glad you were able to get fast fluids. Sorry that it got to that point. Scared me to read your story.

Carrie, you rock. Your doing a tri and finding improvement is great!

I'll check back later.

Great day today--

4 mile run (in about 43 minutes)
16 mile bike (in one hour...a bit slower than what I have been doing, but I don't usually do a run first!)

Totals with stretching and cool down =

20 miles
2 hours

yesterday 6.42 mile run 1 hour
today 4.30 mile run 40 minutes
nice slow hilly bike ride 5 miles 40 minutes:)

Hello warriors,

Decided to get out there in the Hurricane Ike winds (about 21 gusting to 31) and do at least 3 miles and I DID IT!!

3 miles in 41min52sec.

Tracy

Evening warriors.

Carrie you did amazingly at your tri- you star!

Oh Jen, i hope little warrior pops out soon.

It was running club tonight, we ended up slitting off and a lovely guy ran with me. I made it up a stupidly steep hill with encouragement, altho he said he would've stopped too if i hadn't been there so it was good all round. 6.5 miles 58 mins and 10 mins ouchy stretching.

Jen - Here's hoping that little Goofy Miles will come soon for you. Maybe he's just tapering for the trip out?!?. Tell the doctor to be ready with a glove or the finishing line tape they put across for the first place finisher, he may just decide to RUN right outta there!!!:lmao:
(did that help, I hope it entertained you even if just for a moment :) _

Good evening Warriors! 3 miles and 45 minutes for me today.

Carrie, you certainly forgot me when you said anyone here could do a tri.:rotfl2: I work very hard at being this slow!!!!!

Barb - NO way! I know you oculd do it. It's not speed that matters, it's endurance and I know you've got that!

Becky - So sorry about your bad run. First one after a race is always tought. To do it in that heat,

I had a good run last night. 3.75 in 40 min. 10:36. That's aweseome fo rme on a week night! Plus, dh did not go, so I had to motivate to get myself out alone. The weather was great, though, so I did not let myself be lazy when it's the weather I dreamed of all summer.

Hi All.

Hope everyone is having a great day!

Did 45 minutes on TM last night, slow pace, looking to be comfy walking on the TM as opposed to miles - me and the TM are not friends - so did 2 miles, and followed that with 15 minutes of much needed stretching. Also, did 15 minutes of stretching Monday night.

Today was a rest day for me, so of course I *just* did--

45 minutes on the elliptical which was 2 miles.

Hi Warriors,

Just wanted to update with my activity for the past couple days!

9/8 - 2 miles on TM with incline, 32 minutes
9/9- 45 minutes, pilates and crunches
9/10-2.4 miles running, 32 minutes

Labor pixiedust: pixiedust: if you still need it Jen!!

We leave for vacation on the Outer Banks tomorrow, but I do expect to have some decent numbers to post when I get back!

3.59 miles in 40 min last night. Nothing stellar, but not bad for a B2b.

Tried out a new route tonight from my gym.It was along main roads which mostly stopped me from taking any breaks when tired! Just had one break in 5.36 miles which took 46mins. I'm not sure why it was a fast run, the last bit was downhill tho. Add my 10mins stretch regime :thumbsup2

Hey Team--posting some great times!

9 mile run today. With stretching and cool down = 1:40

My first half marathon is in 10 days. I am tapering now!

hAPPY tHURSDAY wARRIORS!!

um...... that's Happy Thursday Warriors!!!!

I'm in the "recover from the crappy sunday workout, but yet still start to taper" phase right now.

I biked 5.2 in 18 minutes yesterday. It was a short "adjustment ride" to get used to the new bike and properly adjust some new parts.

Today I did a 17.6 mile ride in 57:00. That's an 18.5 mph average. My discovery of the day: Aero Bars are cool!! They did not really increase my top end, but I was able to maintain my speed in headwinds much better. This allowed me to rest more on the downwind portions while keeping my speed up.

Don't know if that is the right strategy, but my mantra of the day was "Leave something in the tank!!" I was determined to try and relax every time I could.

P.S. >> Biking on a path on a 4 lane highway is NOT the time to relax! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

After the ride I did a 3.9 mile run in 40:00, once again trying to keep something in the tank.

Although this was not the "Tri" distance, I felt a lot more relaxed today and feel better about the entire event.

Hey Jim, sounds like you left some in the tank. hehe. good work!!

TOday I did 4 miles after work and feeding the dog.

57min 23sec. with about 5 min stretching.

Smileykate: DO you have a "routine" for your stretching, something that you do everytime?? Just wondering what it would be.

Tracy
