Walt's Warriors (Team 7) Miles and Hours

Hey Team...just checking in after the week-end.

Friday - 5 miles and 60 minutes (with stretching,etc.)
Sat - off
Sunday - 4 miles and 50 minutes with warm-up and cool down, etc.
Monday - 4 miles and a total of 2 hours with weight training plus some tennis.

Good evening Warriors! I needed to try out my back and see how it would hold up. I missed two weeks of my 1/2 training and if I have to miss more I'll have to pack it in. I managed 3.15 miles in 50 minutes and it didn't feel too bad. We'll see what tomorrow brings!

Amy, I hope your sweetie gets everything under control and is feeling better quickly. You're a Mom, you can't help but worry. Sending along PD!!!!!

Have a great week Warriors!!!!!

I did 3.54 miles in 40 min last night. Nothing stellar, but it's a work out I didn't miss.

3 mile walk this morning. Think our average pace was about 18-19 minutes/mile which was harder than I expected. Not crazy hard, but I thought I was moving faster... Thanks a lot, stupid Garmin!

Amykab- I feel for you. You're right- that's a horrible, miserable combination! Hope you are getting some sleep and that she feels better soon.

Is everyone as addicted to the Olympics as I am? I keep falling asleep too early to catch everything, but conveniently get to watch it at 3 a.m. when I'm wide awake again...

OK, up to date in my psreadsheet, just need to put in onlin spreadsheet.

Amy - :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: for DD adn for you too!!!

Jen - I know you've been pre active during pregnancy, but maybe you should ask Krista if sh'e be up for a 10K that soon. Yes, I think you are crazy, but then again, most people think we're all crazy! ;)

Barb - Hope that back holds out!!!!

Stacey * Jeff - So proud of you guys for introducing your dd to racing too!

Someone asked about weeks. Weeks run from Sat to Friday, unless teh end of teh month is less than a week away. The last week, you tack on the days 'til the end of the month.

Hey Warriors!

I hit a milestone today...

10 mile run. My first! I wish I could be more excited, but I feel totally drained. I am experimenting with fueling on these long runs and have yet to find the right thing.

Anyway...totals are:

10 miles
2:15 with warm up, cool down and stretching.

My pace was SLOW. About 11:55 mpm. My normal training pace is 10:45 and race pace is 9:55 or so. (Not that those are great times either...lol.) But lesson learned: tequila shots the night before a long run does not count as carb loading! :lmao:

AMY--please PM if you need any info. on reflux. My youngest dd had it (level 5, no less) and was an extreme case. So I had to become an expert in it. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Erika - COngrats on the 10-miler!!! I'm thinking hydration, or lack thereof due to tequila, may have been a factor. I do poerade or water (anout 2 to 3 oz) every half mile, rotating btwn the 2. Then I Gu every 4 miles (about 45 min). I recntly tried cytomax during my tri and that seems to take me a bit farther. You should note that my blood sugar is on the low side, so I fuel more than some otheres. Just thought knowing somoen else's plan might give you a tip or 2. Good luck! Please don't be disappointed, though, 10 mile sis an incredibly long way to go!

Hey warriors.

Erika fantastic job with the 10miles!!! You totally rock (said in a perfect crush voice!).

Carrie good work getting these workouts in, they all count!

Jen 3miles at that pace is such a great effort- you should be proud. I agree that sometimes lookin at your garmin pace can be a bit frustrating!

Barb I'm so pleased you're easing yourself back into it, altho 3.15 miles isn't that short a run! Hope it's feeling ok and holds out, after all your hard work you definitely deserve it.

Tracy YOU DID IT!!! 13.1 miles, blimey you are truly a warrior star. Well done.

Amy sending lots of pixie dust, poor little thing. I bet that's one grumpy little sproglet at home... quite rightly too

Ken great week totals, keep it up!

Go Jim go jim. More magically astonishing miles from you.

Stacey lovely to see you're spreading the WISH word to the whole family. So great to see and also brilliant effort from all 3 of you :thumbsup2

I did 6 miles of intervals with my garmin downloaded plan. That's one mean garmin- he kept beepin at me to go faster, then slow down. Never happy. Was a good workout tho and took 55mins followed by 10mins stretching. Also took two residents for walks from work totally 2.5miles in 40mins. Total= 8.5miles, 105mins.

Hello Warriors teammates,

Decided on 3 miles tonight as I did 13 on Sunday.
Do 3miles in 41min 57sec.
Add on to that 10 of warmup/down and stretching.

Good Tuesday everyone!!

Hi Warriors!
I'm postig for last week's numbers
6.5 hours and 8 miles

Last week I did over 6 hours of yard work and am uncertain of including that. It was truly back breaking though. I ended up having to take off the next day and start slow on the day I did start up again. Who wouldda thought. I guess I need to work more. It was fun though. I got to play in the dirt!

Erika, You call that 10 miler slow? Wow, if I did that I'd feel like I broke something I'm sure. I know you will do well with your event. You fly!

Today I did 3 mile WATP in 45 minutes. I leave for vacation on Saturday so I won't be able to get in my long miles. I guess I'll use my off day tomorrow to get in 7 miles.

I'm proud of all the Warriors!!!!

Good morning warriors!

Thanks for all the PD for DD! She is feeling much better. I am a microbiologist and have a pretty in depth understanding of how/why antibiotics work, but I am still always amazed about how fast they work!! Her pink eye is cleared up. :woohoo: She's goes to the urologist in a couple weeks so we'll know more then about the reflux.

Erika--:woohoo: on your 10 miles! I have "carbo loaded" too before some LR's and walks. :rolleyes1 I will probably definitely be PM'ing you soon with some questions. Her pedi did say it was a mild case and has put her on prophylactic antibiotic for now.

I got in 2.3 miles yesterday, about 30 minutes. Probably pilates and a walk tonight!

Have a good day everyone!

Lily -The ruling I was given at the start was that outdoor chores count. Pretty ure your muscles would more than agree! ;)

Hi All!
We are in the process of finishing our basement so I have been MIA. We had some issues with a couple of contractors so we had 5 days between when the drywallers finished and the carpet guys started to get 2400 sq ft and 7 rooms painted - not fun.

Here are my runs from last week. Hopefully I can get more into a rhythm now that the major work is done.

Wed 8/6 - 4.14 miles, 44:00
Friday 8/8 - 5.08 miles, 52:20
Sunday 8/10 - 15.25 miles, 2 hours 56 min.

Good luck this week!
We are going out of town for the next week and I will have to try to stay motivated on vacation. I think I'd rather just sit on the beach though!
Megan

Got another run in over lunch today:

4.90 miles
51:07

Have a great day!:yay:

Hello Warriors! I was very good and actually did my run while in Idaho. 2.5 miles in 32 min. We also dragged the kids around the parks pathway (to try and tire them out!) Another 1.25 miles in 30 min.

Hey Warriors!!!! I did 7 miles in 111 minutes today. We leave for the beach on Saturday so I'd better get packing!!!!!

4.1 miles tonight walking with DD about 1:12.
