Totals Spreadsheet

Still have to enter in teh spreadsheet adn catch up since Friday so I can do last weeks.

Ok, I'm caught up, but I think I'm goiing to wait to post for last week, as we seem to be missing a bunch.

I PR'd my 5-miler on Saturday. It's a bridge run. 1st 2 miles uphill, 2nd downhill, last one mostly uphill nut not every steep. You were talking abotu confidence? I am always afraid to start too fast and have nothing. My goal was a 10:30 pace. I really puished teh first 2 miles uphill, becaue I could coast in if ineeded. Well, I did push hard adn had a little over an 11 pace. WOrked fro me. Then, I did wel lon th edownhill adn was stil lpushing. Then, I got to the last mile. Ther was a slight uphill adn I looked at dh adn said, "I'm done." I didn't think I was pushing very hard, just finishing. ENded up with a 9:56 last mile :O and a 10:08 overall. :O :O WOw.

Most of this just keeps stemming off my good race in April. My confidence is going up adn my fear to take a chance is going down. So, hang in tehre everyone!

Kate - :wizard: for that leg. Please take it easy!

Amy - SOrry I have been so delinquent. I'm glad you found teh Walkt's Warrior for your sig.

Erika - Congrats!

OK, hope to do better about keeping up with everyone this week!

Oh, I had 4 hours of power weeding and planting Sunday. I'm still sore. the worst part is there's a fros warning tonight. :( I never remeber having frost after Memorial Day. Grrr...

Hi everyone.... Sorry for not being very active lately, lots going on. Real quick, last week was 90 minutes.

Have a great week, and I'm hoping by the end of this week, I can be caught up :)

Stacey -Knew I was missing something big. How's teh family doing? SO sorry to hear about their house. :worried:

Thanks Carrie! Things are getting more and more settled each day. Grandma is happy to be up here, and it takes some of the stress of my aunt and uncle and let's them focus on rebuilding everything! There were a lot of ups and downs last week, but that's behind us and we're moving forward little by little.

Carrie, Congrats on your PR, that's awesome!!! :thumbsup2

Tracy, Yippee on your race!! Way to go!

Kate, sorry that you're struggling. You are strong, and in no time, you'll be back in the swing and having easier runs. How are you liking the WiiFit?

3DisneyKids, congrats on your runs, you're doing fantastic!

Michelle - yeah for fitting in a run!

Jim, :thumbsup2 keep up the fantastic workouts!

Ken, hope everything is going well in your new job!

Sorry if I missed anyone. Great work to everyone, and Happy training!!

I can't keep up with this post!!:scared1: It moves so fast!

I wasn't sure if I posted last weeks totals...
5.5 miles/80 minutes

I managed about 3 miles yesterday in 60 minutes with DD in the park.

DD is sick again!  She ran a fever all weekend, and now is horribly congested. So I am at home with her today and probably tomorrow as well. I am so lucky that I have a flexible job and can work from home when needed. I hope to get on the TM tonight and tomorrow, but that will depend on how clingy DD is.

I hope everyone had a good weekend. I tried to find a wii fit, no luck there! I also think I am going to register for a 5K on july 4th when we'll be visiting DH's family in NC to keep me on track. I'd like to do it in under 40 minutes. I am stuck in a 42 minute rut for the 3 mile distance.

Have a good week everyone!!:) :)

Thanks, everyone! I am still glowing! :goodvibes

Today was a rest day from running, so I did my insane boot camp group workout at the gym for 60 minutes. WOW, is that hard! But on the running segment...I smoke 'em all! ::yes::

Checking back in quick...I just did 3 miles/44:45..Not my best effort, but at least I got the miles in..:yay:

I have a totally irrational fear of falling off the TM :scared1: :scared1: so I tend not to walk as fast as I do outside because of this. Any suggestions on how to deal with this?

I don't have any suggestions, but wanted to let you know that I feel the exact same way - I think that's why I dread the TM sooooo much. Hope someone out there has some advice for you.

Jeff and I went out this morning (now that grandma is there, we can get out together) - we did 2 miles in 30, and an additional 5 minutes of stretching. Yup, I completely slowed him down! Poor guy was really trying to keep at my slow pace! :lmao:

Have a great day everyone!

Amy - All I can say is that going off the back of teh TM is really no big deal. No reason to fear it. However, if you do go off, DO NOT try to get back on. That will cause pain and embarrassment. :rolleyes

Erika - Woo hoo on smokin' em!

Stacey - Way to go on making lemonade out of those lemons. Glad things are going ok and granma is even able ot give you a break!

Ken - FOrgot to say congrats on the new job and I hope it's going well!!

Jim and Roxy - You two just amaze me!

Yay Carrie! Congrats on your PR!!!

Not much activity for me...Sorry. I have an ortho appt next Thursday to get my knees checked out...

I did get 32 minutes, 2.25 miles in on Sunday. I hope to walk tomorrow. I'm waiting until the dr appt before I jump back into things.

Hope all is well!!!
Stacie

Stacie- glad to hear you're getting your knees checked out. Just in case i forget i'll send good luck wishes now!!! :moped: (they're speeding over to you!). Don't worry about mileage for now just look after youself, you've put lots into us so it's time for us to look out for you ::yes::

Carrie- great work with the PR, you're going from strength to strength :thumbsup2

Stacey- thanks for the encouragement! I got back on the TM today and found that much easier so maybe i was pushing myself too fast outside. I love WiiFit and am thrilled that right now i have my exercise phobic mum doing step on it! How lovely that you got out with Jeff for a bit too, sounds great.

Amy- the fact that you say it's irrational is a great start. Next time you're at the gym have a look around. In fact right now tell me how many people you have ever seen fall off a treadmill. Compare that to how many TM users there are and you'll see it's not very likely to happen. A good way to ensure that you don't let your feet touch the non-moving bit of the TM is to find a spot straight ahead of you while you walk as this should keep your body straight.

Can't think of anything else, maybe another warrier will have an idea.

Me- after a training day at work i headed for the gym determined to run properly. Knee strap in place i made a 4.3mile run in 40mins and stretched afterwards for another 10mins. I wasn't exhausted and didn't die so i'm thrilled!

Happy Wednesday Warriors!!

Greetings from sunny, warm St Augustine!

This has been a keeeeeeerappy work out week for me so far.

Sunday I got NOTHING done (long night at work the night before).

Monday I was up nice & early to go on a bike ride before putting the boat in the water. 4.8 miles into my ride - flat tire. The FOURTH flat tire inside 2 weeks. :headache: :headache: :headache: :headache: :headache: :headache: :headache: :headache: :headache: :headache: :headache: :headache: :headache:

Unfortunately, the hole was too big for my handy-dandy CO2 powered mini-inflator to do any good. So I Had To Walk Home. Fortunately, due to my route I ONLY had to walk about 3.2 miles to get there.

Yesterday, at work I managed to sneak a 2.25 mile run in 20 minutes in. I also took my wheel from my bike in to work to replace the tube and check to for anything that could be causing the rash of flats. Nothing found. Nada. Zip. Zilch. Bupkus.

So I replaced my tire & tube. Inflated the tube. Guess What? Brand new tube. Straight from box. Never been used. Still smells like the fake rubber tree it came from.

And It Has A Freakin' Hole In IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do I seem a bit frustrated?? :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious:

So today, I went and spent over $100 on 2 new tires, tubes, patch kits and tools. If I get another flat I swear I'm gonna' drop the damn bike on the railroad tracks and LEAVE IT THERE!!

BTW, I DID have a nice 8 mile run in 76 minutes today.

So my "total" (such as it is) for the last 3 days is 18.3 miles in 2:41.

TOMORROW I will be giving the bike it's final chance. Karma. It's either it or me. One of us will be the boss & one of us MAY be gone. Time will tell.

So.

That's my week so far. :duck: :duck: :duck: :duck: :duck:

How's yours??

Anyone else afraid to answer our usually mild-mannered Jim? :scared1: ;) So sorry your week has been so awful Jim. How frustrating! Why is it when we are frustrated adn mnost need our workouts life gets in teh way of them???? and :wizard: for better days ahead!

Poor Jim. I would be livid too!!! I hope all goes well w/ the new tires!!! :wizard: :wizard:

Stacie

Jim sorry about the bike tire issue!! I would be frustrated to the bone and I think you handled it much better than I would have. I think I would have already put it in the railroad tracks. I do tend to get a bit hot headed (red head don't ya know)!!

Morning all!

Kate, way to go at the gym!

Amy, hope DD feels better soon, congrats on getting the TM in!

Stacie - good luck at the drs - sending lots of pvs

Jim, I've got my fingers crossed that you do indeed win this battle! :rotfl:

Tracey, I can soooo relate with your "hot headedness" - Jeff's a red head, and our wonderful DD is as well - so even though I'm not one, I totally get them :scared1:

Nothing new to report on my end. Have a great day everyone!
