Kate - I used to not be able to sleep fro a night or 2 before a WDW trip. Now, I go more and I cna't sleep fro a week before. :scared1: You're not alone. SO glad my plane trip is muich, shorter, though.

1 hour team fitness yesterday also
today 7 mile run 1:08 :)
 
Hey everyone, sorry I haven't been keeping up with everyone, I tend to post more on the weekly thread and the Minnie thread.

ANyway, 4 miles 56min12.32sec. I had about 12min of warmup and down.

Getting myself ready for the Minnie 15K.

Hey team!! I am so sorry I haven't been keeping up with the thread. I have had nonstop company for the last week and a half - it's been so great! Carrie, I will try to add up my totals for last week and get them in, plus this week of course. I was able to walk with my dad last week 3x's, got my 9.3 mile long run in on saturday while my b-i-l was here, and I have walked the last 4 days with my sister. It has been so fantastic to have people to walk with!! I wish it was like this every week :)

well done carrie!!! I'm so sorry that we're loading all this onto you, maybe we should do nothing for a week to make it easier for you, ha ha ha ha not.

I went out for a run today 4.7miles in 42mins and 0.3mile cool down followed by my longest stretching (10mins) and icing period ever. Tendon's tight and obviously bruised my skin but coped ok. That was my last real run before my 3 planned POFQ ones next week, eek.

THEN i got my WiiFit game wahoo. So had to go on that- did some Wiijogging, balance games and yoga and i love it. 20 more mins of exercise for me.

Today's total 80mins.

Week total- 19 miles (thanks goodness for XT), 221 mins (3hr 42)
 
Today I ran 8.4 miles in 83 minutes.

Also - my first ocean swim in a long time ( in preparation (hopefully) for some triathlons this summer).

I now know how Bob Denver felt when the SS Minnow was washed ashore on some uncharted desert isle. I managed 20 minutes while getting pulverized by the surf and almost getting caught in 1 minor rip (fun Fun!!).

When I get that down, it's gonna' be really fun, but I know a lot of work is coming.

My Saturday - Friday total for this week is 68.9 miles in 7:59.
 
I did 25 minutes of pilates and foam roller tonight.

sorry so short, my broadband is down and I'm using dialup with is very slow!!

Ken, you are also awesome- your totals are fantastic. You and Jim are so inspiring in terms of motivating us to run the next distance on our schedule! Everyone is inspiring in different ways- i love watching the progress of warriers and how far everyone of you have come. Ah i'm having a mushy warrier moment!
Ok, gather myself together now. 20mins WiiFit gentle exercise and 10mins stretching for me today. My posts may be a bit random from now on as we fly tomorrow. My next scheduled run is monday (when jetlag should wake us up early) 3miles which i'll do along the river at POR/FQ wahey. Might skip the 5 miler for leg protection but we'll see.

Hey Warriors!

I ran a 5k today in a little town about 10 miles away. About 200 people were there, which was a far cry from the usual fast 30 who show up at local races. I started out a little too fast, had to push through a lot of self-doubt, and finally settled down in a pretty good pace (forgot the Garmin).

Low point of the race: when some guy and his little Jack Russell passed me; high point of the race: when I realized a girl who's always totally obnoxious about being a "runner" was behind me at the beginning of mile 2 and I upped the pace and beat her. (I actually had a couple of thoughts directed to GoofyBaby about how he was just going to have to hang on a bit because I was not letting some pompous girl in front of me!) I finished in 29:03, but the race organizer said it was a bit short of a 5k because of a mix-up with a turn around. Didn't bother me!

My weekly totals through yesterday are 18 hours. Today I did 2 hours. Tomorrow we are doing a 3 mile walk for March of Dimes. Double Miles!!! I'm also back to running this week. Wish me luck...

Can't wait this time next week I will have finished the Minnie 15k, gone back to my room for an ice bath, packed and take stuff to the car (gotta checkout by 11am) and then off to a park to show off my medal. Then drive home.

You'll have to help me out with this, but it looks like we report miles and times, right? Do you guys report daily or weekly? I think I've seen it done both ways. If I'm wrong, please correct me as I'm new to both your team and to WISH! But I'm excited to be here! As you can see from my signature, I'm working towards some huge goals for myself and would love the encouragement! As for my "stats," I went out for 45 minutes tonight and did a slow 3.5 miles.
