oh congratulations jen- that's such lovely news. Who knows it might come out an eager run/walker and lover of disney!!!!

Jen - lol. Dh was so proud that you stayed not tooo far in front of us. Lol, you were runnign for 2. :rotfl: Congratulations! I think if you truely did a beat teh sweeper pace adn were very careful about hydration, you should eb ok for teh Minnie. I would nto say this to a northerner, but I would think you are better with heat.

Grrr....Think I'm finally getting teh yuck that's going around. :(

Now i was meant to go for a run today, but the winds here are really picking up with gales upto 80mph (i know that sounds silly to you hurricane stormers) so went for a swim!
30 mins 45 lengths= 0.7miles My first cross training in ages so it was probably a good thing.

Carrie- just to save you a job, my last week totals were 18.6 miles and 204 mins i think!

Y'all make me laugh. Don't be thinking I was some speedy pregnant woman at the marathon. I really wasn't feeling any symptoms yet (or just assumed being tired and a bit queasy was normal for marathon weekend!)

We're such a team- we all think alike! I'm still thinking of signing up for the Minnie. If I wake up feeling great, then I can try to run/walk/whatever. If I feel like it will be too much, then I can go cheer and I'll still be at Disney- that's not a bad thing! :cheer2:

There's a 10k here the weekend of Easter. I'm going to miss it because we are going to be seeing DH's parents. I don't really care about missing it, but I may play it up a bit and then talk about how the Minnie will be a good substitute and DH has been wanting to go to Disney anyway... if I can keep a straight face, DH may think going to the Minnie was his idea! :laughing:

Training to report- did 30 minutes low weights (upper body), and 2 miles on the TM.

Big day for me today...my first time hitting the 5 mile mark! I also lifted a bit...so my totals for today are:

The best team in the Magical World of Disney! haha:rotfl:

It's a nice evening here in South Florida. Nice 74degrees. It did sprits (sprinkle rain) a bit when I got out of work and was still doing so for my first mile of walking over at the park, but then it stopped and the sun came out (still not use to the time change, usually when I leave the park its dark).

Jen, sounds like you can figure out a way to make it to the Minnie and I can't wait to meet you and all the other warriors, wishers and walkers!!

I did 4min 22 secs worth of warming up/down and stretches.
Walking 3.10 miles, 43min:13min.
(That's a fast 3.10 miles for me!!)

I've got a cold and it's Book Fair week! :-( I did manage the 3 mile WAP DVD in 45 minutes. I have to get through this week!!!

I hope you feel better Carrie. Rest!!!!!
 
I didn't get on the TM today or yesterday because I have had some stomach bug. But I did get in 3 miles on sunday. I am hoping to push the girls in the stroller to the playground tomorrow which will be 5 miles total. Here's hoping I get it in.

Check with what the doc says, be sure to tell doc that you are an athlete and used to the distance.

Good work Warriors. I've put in steps today. I am feeling good about what is happening so far.

Hey Stacie--I was on the TM, so I had a water bottle right there and drank as I went. When I run outside, I start hydrating about an hour before a run. As for taking anything with me...nope...haven't done anything like that yet. I will not use gels, so I am not sure what I will use once I really need something during a run.
