I really want to do this tour our next trip (June or August). I do have a few questions.

What is the Cost?
Lunch is included, right? What options are there? Can we request a special/vegan meal?
You can book 30 days out? or is it really 1 month?

Any other information about the tour would be great.

I went looking at the Disneyland web site for a description and they don't have much, which is probably why you're asking here. You can go to this link for a description, which is a couple of years old.

I took the tour several years back and it was around $60 per person, but it is likely more now. (What isn't more expensive now?) You can choose your meal and a vegetarian meal is available; however, I don't know if they have a vegan selection. I think they really mean 30 days. If you call at one month and you're a day early, so call back the next day.

If you are Disney history buff, you'll enjoy the tour. They use good head phones so you can hear the guide over the noise of the park. I found it very interesting and recommend it.

wow, I never heard of this before despite all my research into the Disney Parks everything we visit. Looks like an awesome walk but like the Ship tour on the Cruiselines, I may be gogin solo while the wife and kids enjoy the rides.

cheers and thansk for the info.

I have read the MousePlanet article as well as a couple others, the problem is that they all give conflicting information. From Cost, discounts, what meals are available etc. I guess I may just have to give them a call and find out what they say. Of course even that may not give me the true story, as you end up being at the mercy of the person on the other end of the phone.

I booked it for my first visit in February! They charged me $65 including lunch. They said we'll do a ride on the train during the tour, and be allowed into the hall of Club 33 to get a quick peek. We won't be going into the club though.

I'm a huge Disney fan and very interested in the history as well. My only concern is that I may know more than the guide (happened to me in Hong Kong Disneyland during a tour). I'm sure it will be a fun experience during my 3.5 days single trip anyway :-).

I can let you know how it was in about three weeks when I'm back!

I know I would appreciate a report about the tour. Thinking about taking this tour on my next visit and would love to hear about your experience. DH and I love learning about Disneyland history, so hopefully we would learn something new on a tour like this. Have fun! :goodvibes

I've taken the tour twice and it was very nice. There wasn't a lot of new information to me, but depending on your knowledge of the park, you may learn some new stuff.

Catching a peek into the lobby of Club 33 was worth the price alone for me.

However, I must say that I have taken the tour twice and have never got the ride on the Lilly Belle that is supposed to be included. The first time there was some issue preventing it. The second time I took the tour, there were handicapped people on the tour. Due to the inaccessibility of Main Street station, when that happens, they cancel the ride on the train. I can't really be mad about that, but it was a disappointment.

I do recommend the tour though either way.

Interesting! I have ridden on the Lilly Belle and have eaten at Club 33, so I am not 100% sure this tour would be worth it for me. Would appreciate any insight from those who have already done these things.
