What do you think is Walt Disney's greatest legacy-the Disney movies or the Disney theme parks?WOW,what a tough choice!

I'll have to go with the theme parks. They continue to offer something for everyone. The Disney movies are great, but as the kids get older I find they have outgrown them, with the exception of Pirates of the Caribbean. That one is mine.

My first choice would be The CalArts School in California, which continues to pump out great artists, animators, actors, and writers.
Out of the 2 choices that you have given, I'm going with Movies. Disney's animators revolutionized the way cartoons and animated features are created. They are also shown worldwide and people, both young and old, get a taste of America they may not have access to otherwise.

Disney invented the theme park, created the first steel roller coaster, the Audio-Animatronic and countless other amazing things. I think it is hard to put anything above this as Walts greatest legacy.

First thought would be the theme parks, however these continue to change...and some things change in ways I feel Walt would disagree with. A lot of his original ideas are still around, but a lot of them have also been changed or never used....So in a way, I would say the classic movies, because the only change to those is to digitally remaster them.

I believe that the movies are Walt's greatest legacy. The films were revolutionary in their use of animation and they have Walt's direct touch, whereas Disneyland is the only theme park that Walt actually saw completed.

The films are also much more accessible than the theme parks. Most people in the world do not have the ability to visit one of the parks due to expense and geography. The movies are portable and can be shared by a mass audience.
