Resort Thread Walt Disney World SWAN, DOLPHIN & SWAN RESERVE Resorts

What back way is this you spreak of?! We’re not as familiar so we only know of the route with the elevator
Behind the resort, near the water there is a walking path that eventually goes to Hollywood studios. Coming from Swan and Dolphin you cross the bridge and go through the arch that says Boardwalk. Immediately turn right at take the path alongside the water until you reach the other end of the boardwalk resort. From there you can take a sidewalk to your right into the portico area where you drop off luggage and cut across to the bus stop.

This is a really long way (sort of circumnavigating) the entire BW just to avoid the Elevators in the BW. I will add that the Tennis courts are the key visual thing to look for going in each direction as the paved path is right between the BWV building, and the tennis courts but it is to the parking lot, and you need to walk near or avoid cars that may be navigating the parking lot.

I would suggest the Elevators when returning from the BW Bus Stop in the evening. There is one right inside the BWI near the Belle Vue Lounge when you turn right in the lobby. or if you turn left when you enter the BW lobby and walk across to the Villas side, and then turn right the Elevators take you down to the Boardwalk level.

When you leave from the BWV side you have (2) choices. True left and walk toward the pool area but keep walking to you see the path along the canal, turn right and walk back to the BW Circle with the BW Arch way with all the lights, turn left and cross the bridge to the Swan, Swan Reserve, and the Dolphin.

Please note that there is paved path along the BWVs, and a walkway right along the canal between the BW and HS. Always take the paved path if you want to get to the front of the BW. There are only about 3 points to switch beteen the paved path, and the walkway when using a scooter or motorized wheelchair.

We don't find it any longer if we are trying to get directly to the bus stop. If we were going elsewhere in the Boardwalk, we would probably go from the front. When we are trying to get to the bus stop. particularly at a crowded time like rope drop its often faster to skip waiting for an elevator and to take the less congested path closer to the water. We have often found maintenance vehicles blocking the path closer to the hotel early in the morning. There is a egress point right where you need to be so it isn't an issue.

I would agree with you for any purpose other than getting to HS or the bus stop.
