If you just called, then you should call back during normal day business hours - aim for 9-4 PM. You probably got transferred to the Marriott call center - when you call press 0 and ask for in-house reservations.I just called (888-828-8850)

You s/b able to check rates online or by calling, but there seems to be a glitch for flexible rate searches in January, for the teacher discount. Using an exact date range seems to work better.I just called (888-828-8850) to see what the teacher rate would be for our dates in January, and he told me the rate waoosn't working and "so what do you want to do now?" I was like...uhhh...not book it? I'm going to try again tomorrow or next week and see if I can find someone who knows more, but in the meantime does anyone know if there's a limit on how far in advance you can book with a teacher rate, or why January dates wouldn't work for that rate? Or even if there's a better number or time to call to get someone with more knowledge? This particular reservation person wasn't overly helpful.
For Reservations: Contact us at
1-888-828-8850 and ask for promotional code TEACHERS RATE or when booking online, make sure Promotional Code ZTC appears in the Corporate/Promo code box. Valid teacher or school issued ID required at check-in to receive this offer.

Special rates at Swan & Dolphin
@mouschievous - wish the in-house reservations hours were longer, but that's the best bet time to catch them. The Marriott Call center doesn't know much about the teacher rates. I will say that the teacher rate is ok, but not amazing. If you are a member of AAA it almost always beats the teacher rate.
Maybe during covid times, but traditionally under the Marriott system it's not been as good. My wife is a teacher so we'd often check it and once Marriott took over and partnered with AAA those rates were much better. But right now they are doing anything to get heads in beds - Teacher, AAA, AP you name it and I can't blame them.Any dates I've checked the AAA & Teacher rate have always been the same.
Happy Nurses' Week.I agree with SteveH. I am Registered Nurse and don't even bother inquiring about the nurse rate. AAA rate wins every time.
Thanks for the help! I finally figured out where to put the code, but it said there are no rooms available for the teacher rate. I was able to book rooms at Swan Reserve using the senior discount. Then I realized I booked in my name, but my parents are the seniors (we're all traveling together). Anyone know if I need to change the name on the reservation to be a person who qualifies for the discount? We'll all be together and check in together.
We now have rooms at CBR, Swan Reserve, and still have a request in for Beach Club DVCI need to make a reminder on my phone to cancel rooms in December!
Okay, so just to clarify you booked 3 rooms and the parlor?I just did this for a big family gathering/split stay between the Swan and the Poly for April 2022.
I booked a traditional king and a traditional 2 queen rooms at the Swan with points (50K weekday, 60 K weekend). I then called the in-house reservation line (888) 828-8850 and paid $265 per night to add the parlor portion to make it a 2 bedroom grand suite. A smaller parlor, making it a 2 bedroom executive suite, was also available for slightly less, but we opted for the larger suite.
My experience is that these book out pretty far (maybe not a year, but I'm a long term planner). I would book as soon as you have the dates and can always cancel.
ETA: The parlor portion doesn't have a traditional bed (although the Heavenly Sleeper Sofa is excellent). The plus is you would only pay one resort fee!
Do you know if you could just book one room with 2 queens and the parlor? Is there a website for seeing all the different room combinations?
