Resort Thread Walt Disney World SWAN, DOLPHIN & SWAN RESERVE Resorts

It really does not matter @Gitelfor at the moment. The ResortPass is not currently available at the Swan & Dolphin.

You can verify by selecting a date and all options will show as "Unavailable" through the end of 2021.

The reviews are very recent. I wonder if the limited number of future ResortPass bookings is just sold out. It is a steal for people staying off-site or at a Value resort.

They can use the Swan/Dolphin as their base when visiting DHS, EP, & Boardwalk, including not only for parking, but also using showers and lockers.

Reading reviews of ResortPass makes me a little upset that people not staying at the Swan and Dolphin can take over the prime seating areas of the pools, shutting out guests of the resorts whose guest benefits can be negatively affected.

Does that bother you, as well?
Adding salt to the wounds- it’s cheaper than the resort fee you pay as a hotel these.

Does anyone know anything about Swan Reserve? It looks to be significantly cheaper than Swan or Dolphin. We need 2 rooms with King beds Jan 11-17, and for those dates at the Swan and Dolphin we're looking at about $8k total, whereas Swan Reserve was just under $6k. But I'm nervous about booking something like that with no real information on what it's like, the transportation, etc.

From what I've seen it's usually priced higher.... Dolphin, then Swan and Reserve being the more expensive - depending on room types. Their Booking Engine and availability have a lot to do with pricing. With the Reserve not officially open yet.... some sites might not offer it at all. Book the Reserve....

I looked and those dates, it shows Swan sold out... something going on? A conference, event or people betting on RUN Disney again?

Since the Swan Reserve does not open until Sept. 1st we really don't know how park transportation will work. Will it have it's own or share with Swan & Dolphin.

I would say book it if it 1 night deposit and has the ability to cancel at the 5 day before arrival mark. I would not want a pre-paid reservation this early.

Is there a way to book thru Costco w/o buying tix? We have APs and every time I try to price Costco it wants met to add tickets.

You can book without a ticket package, but you have to package the hotel with a rental car. If you go to Theme Park packages, there should be an option for Hotel and Car. Click there, find a choice with both listed (usually S&D isn't on that first page), then modify room, and more hotels will be listed below. I just booked this way a couple of weeks ago.

The nice plus is that you only need to put a $100 deposit down initially, instead of paying the deposit and the entire ticket price, which isn't fully refundable.

The Swan Reserve won’t be open until July (if it’s open on schedule), so details now are mostly speculation. However, it is a third “sister” hotel with Swan and Dolphin. They all use the same pool and are all within minutes walking. There is some artwork available for the concept and some videos with updated construction, but no one can report back what it is like to stay there as no one has stayed there yet. I would check back in August :)

The Swan Reserve is not scheduled to open until Sept. 1st. It has it's own private pool and sun deck and also access to the Grotto and other pools are available across Epcot Resorts Blvd.

They have been working on the walkway from the Grotto pool area out Epcot Resorts Blvd and the Cross-walk to the Swan Reserve recently.

Note: Epcot Resorts Blvd. is a divided road that may be busy during many periods of the year.

SteveH...Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I just ordered one, so no more worries about hotels and microwaves.
Yeah glad that info helped. One of my team members uses one and only reason I knew about it was she left it in her hotel room by accident and since I was staying a few extra days I picked it up for her.

While Marriott’s website continues to show the Swan Reserve opening in July 2021, the first available check-in date is still September 2021. Is the project running behind the original schedule, or are they being cautious, so that there are no bookings, before ready to accommodate guests, in case there are any unanticipated delays?

For those interested in staying at the Reserve in July or August, it’s probably worthwhile keeping an eye on things, to see if July/August open up for bookings.

Originally they scheduled the Swan Reserve to open in March 2021 and then shifted to July and finally when it was added to the actual booking engine they set Sept. 1st as the first available booking.

Yes they slowed the original opening schedule due to Covid-19 but not the building schedule due to the lack of demand. The Swan & Dolphin still have not reached normal bookings and event sales.

They are now actively trying to hire for key staff positions but the current plan is still for Sept.1st opening.

I have a reservation for Wednesday May 12 for a cabana at The Grotto pool. The email came from ResortPass and in the body says:

If I am reading this correctly, is it feasible to turn up at the pool as a paying guest, and find you cannot get a seat or lounger as they are occupied by non-residents ?? That seems utterly ridiculous ?!?!
