I swear the price changed since this morning. We're checking in Feb. 3, that day was $74, then the rest of the week was $73. Now the same days are $79/$78. Crazy. Am I in an alternate universe??

But to get 7 days of use you would have to be able to use the ticket on the 29th, if the first day was the 23rd, no? Maybe I'm just not following this discussion correctly.

Disney never defines “time-when a day begins” very clearly.

You have a 7-day window with a 4-day ticket so if day one is the 23rd (24, 25, 26, 27, 28) 29th would be day 7.

Disney says 4-day tickets have a 7-day window. So that would be 23-29.

It’s 6 days. Validity ends when December 29th begins.

Post #3 says that you get 7 days to use a 4 day ticket. So what's the consensus...6 or 7 days? If it truly is 7 days the expiration should be December 29th at 11:59 PM.

As it is, the wording is very confusing! I could see people just looking at the date and not the time and assuming it's good on the 29th. But, the way it reads, the 28th is the last day you can use it.

And it will be dependent upon how IT put the restrictions on these tickets.

We are 425 days out from that time frame yet. I highly doubt Disney is passing around a hard date internally for SWGE. There could still be construction delays that could pop up this far out.

They certainly have a target date already but they aren't revealing that to us yet and I just don't think we can read into the calendar yet.

My DH is a Disney CM of many, many years...though not a Florida CM. Here's the weird part...I called him and as we were poking through and looking at it, we saw different things. I was on Safari and he was on Firefox. On Firefox, there are no times listed, only the dates. If you search on Safari it shows the 12:00 AM times. He is sending a few screenshots to some people he knows to see if they are aware of this. We will see what happens

I just stepped through the selection process for a 4 day 1 park per day ticket all the way until I got to the screen with the "Check Out" button. (I stopped there.) Nowhere did I see any mention of 12:00 am on any of those three pages.

ETA: Just saw CT Disney's latest post. Maybe it is a browser glitch. (I'm using Chrome.)

Which is interest because the same ticket for this year only costs $543.86. Not a huge difference, but it definitely has to do with what day of the week your trip starts. I haven’t looked at every single week, but Tuesday starts seem to have the cheapest prices.

TA webinar stated that for split stays put a longer ticket in the first stay that will carry over to the second stay. Valid dates will be for the TICKET itself since it's longer than the first resort stay. Ticket will NOT be valid for the length of both stays. For example first stay is at Pop Century for 2 nights - purchase a 7 day ticket with that first package stay - check into another resort on or off site after checking out from Pop. In this case a 7 day ticket in this 2 night package OR purchased separately is valid for up to 10 days.

Can no longer activate a package ticket before check in. This is a biggie for lots of people!

Tickets purchased separately will only have the validity of that separate ticket, only tickets purchased in a package are valid for length of stay.

I suspected this was going to come above.

Is this price difference really going to affect crowds? The biggest benefit from going in non peak times is lower resort prices. This just seams like a waste of time.

No but it will cause some (like DH and I) to pull up the calendar and find the cheaper days. I already do this with Southwest's fare calendar. We aren't tied to specific days of the week, we chase cheaper ones. I know we aren't alone. But, I do think there isn't enough like us to alter crowds at all. But it is still in our favor to be able to find cheaper days

For those with packages already under deposit before 10/16/18:

Ticket pricing WILL change if:
changing from rack rate to a promo rate or from one promo to another
changing a room only reservation to a package will get the current ticket pricing, not the pricing at the time the room was reserved
re-instating a package that has cancelled will have current ticket pricing
changing ticket length or ticket type wull have the current ticket pricing

Ticket pricing will NOT change if:
changing a resort or room type
changing travel dates or # in your party though your resort price might change
adding or deleting or changing a dining plan
adding Memory Maker, ground transportation, trip insurance, or any other package add ons

Of course this assumes that the CM is fully versed in the new system, I can see most of these being referred to the Guest Services desk.

I can confirm the system allowed this change. I've already posted where I made this exact change today (adding ground trans) and it did not change pricing for the tickets or anything else

I do think you can read a tiny bit into it. The dates are too specific.
What I'm reading into it is, if things remain on schedule, which is obviously a HUGE if, that's their target. The odds of things remaining on schedule this far out? Low, very low.

I agree with this. I think it's 7 days as well since that's pretty well documented in other parts of the website. However, I do think that, in spite of the human error element, these details are important. If someone was looking at the expiration of 12:00 AM on the 29th, they could very reasonably conclude that the tickets are not good on the 29th. It really could mess someone up when planning their dates. I'm hoping they fix it (if they haven't already).

Can someone please check December 4th-14th 2019 for me? I'm at the hospital with my dad and it won't pull up on my phone. About to pull the trigger on a 10 day PH from Undercover Tourist, but wanted to see Disney's price first. I've never bought tickets from a 3rd party and I'm admittedly nervous about doing so

Undercover Tourist is great! Hundreds if not thousands of us have used them. Just make sure to get the E ticket, not mailed physical ticket. then link it to your MDE. So easy & quick. But I would hop on it before Undercover Tourist runs out of stock. My daughter ordered from them yesterday. Saved $65.74 per ticket! Yay!
Current WDW of your 10 day PH Dec 4-14 is $581.61.

Here’s what I figured out for a trip planned in February. We will be in the parks on 2/14, 15, and 16. If I buy a 3 day hopper that starts on 2/14, my first day in the parks, the cost is $829 and the ticket expires on Monday 2/18.

But if I buy a ticket starting on 2/12, the ticket expires on my last day, 2/16, and only costs $792.

(For comparison sake, I priced the tickets on Sunday, and they were $788)

Question about UT etickets. I bought 4 adult 5 days tickets. There is only 1 ticket with 1 reservation number. How does each person link their ticket to their own MDE account?

This is going to be a huge problem for some. To the point that I plan on a letter to a few select folks. Even though it doesn't impact me personally, it does if I bring family with me since only some of us hold AP. We never need the same tickets so a package is out of the question.

Also mentioned was that Disney Cruise Line would have tickets available that are good for up to 14 days from first use, must call DCL as this will not be online. They went through this kinda fast, I assume you have to book the resort nights on either end of the cruise with DCL to get this type of ticket. Will update this definitely when they post the re-broadcast on the TA site tomorrow.

if they'll do something similar for DVC? Any mention of that? A DVC only ticket that has a different use period? I just can't see their intention to penalize DVC members because they'll never purchase a package and they'll be some of the most frequent with longer stays.
