It's basically international Hulu, but with only Disney owned product (ie. 21 Century, Disney Studios, ABC, etc.). It's being called Star as Hulu doesn't have brand awareness outside of the US.
Chapek was just talking about pay VOD for Disney+ going forward. Wonder if once/if movies return to theaters if they will first release them to Disney+ as pay VOD and then later release them for free on Disney+.
Consumer confidence is an economic term referring to the feelings of consumers related to the current and future economic conditions. It is Chapek saying that the economic picture needs to improve before the parks & resorts return to making the kind of money people have come to expect.
Since there are several posts about how the parks "lost" billions of dollars, I just thought I'd mention that the parks did not lose billions of dollars; they earned billions less than they were expected to had they been open and operating normally. There's a difference.

That's the type of model I think they will roll with, but maybe with a reduced pricing structure as time goes on until a free release on D+. They can squeeze the purchasers that want to be first to watch it and then add another revenue wave for those that don't need it on day/week 1 and then, finally, reward the D+ audience with a "freebie".
Yes, and they will continue to spike throughout the world. But things are much better in most other countries than in the US right now. Especially so for China - cinemas have reopened in a few parts of the country and are bringing in a fairly healthy income. China is by far the biggest market for Mulan, and may have even exceeded the US in normal circumstances.
