Chapek is being more honest than most CEO's in this. This is admitting that more than COVID is the problem with the parks.

If it fails sure it is. If successful they will do more of this no doubt.
It's basically international Hulu, but with only Disney owned product (ie. 21 Century, Disney Studios, ABC, etc.). It's being called Star as Hulu doesn't have brand awareness outside of the US.Wait, what is STAR? Is it a new announcement? Will it be international? Will disney+ be losing Nat Geo etc content to it?
Consumer confidence is an economic term referring to the feelings of consumers related to the current and future economic conditions. It is Chapek saying that the economic picture needs to improve before the parks & resorts return to making the kind of money people have come to expect. How do you figure?
My bad not a verified accountYikes!
Chapek was just talking about pay VOD for Disney+ going forward. Wonder if once/if movies return to theaters if they will first release them to Disney+ as pay VOD and then later release them for free on Disney+.
Yes, and they will continue to spike throughout the world. But things are much better in most other countries than in the US right now. Especially so for China - cinemas have reopened in a few parts of the country and are bringing in a fairly healthy income. China is by far the biggest market for Mulan, and may have even exceeded the US in normal circumstances. But cases are spiking in Europe and Japan.
