Walmart Savings Catcher

I have a couple of questions, if anyone can answer. 1. How does it work with online purchases? Does it automatically recognize you and enter your purchase or do you have to manually enter it somehow? 2. Just in general, if you need to make a return, can you use the receipt that was scanned on your phone or do you still need the actual receipt? TIA
I am pretty sure it doesn't work with online purchases since you need to have the in-store receipt with the bar code on it. When you scan a receipt, you just take a picture of the barcode with your phone.
I don't know about the return policy though.....

I go to different WalMart stores and I have found that the stores closer to the city have more stores to compare to, therefore I have a better chance at getting more money back. In a few months I already have back $11 and then I doubled it with the Bluebird AMEX. There are many coupon blogs on the internet that also tell you how to maximize your savings with the Savings Catcher. :)

I'm up to $346. Last few weeks Kroger had good sales so I got a ton of free goldfish and $1 Kellogs cereal. This week the little lunchables are $0.42 with the double savings and 8 oz. Kraft cheese is $1.12 in Central VA. I'm going to be very sad when they stop doubling.

I started in August with school supplies and got back just over $6! I'm up to just over $104, which I have doubled to Bluebird!
I love this!
We got a new bike for my DD's birthday!

WOW! How much do some of you spend at Walmart to get so much back. I have a whopping $7.38. Most of my receipts are no matches.

I've spent about $1,400 at Walmart since the end of July (about $230/month) and saved $350 or 25%. My pantry is pretty stocked at this point so when they stop doubling I should be set with cereal, pasta, pasta sauce, and snacks (a lot of which I got for free) for a few months.

I don't know how most do it, but I actually use all the free ads that get mailed to my house each week(usually about 9 major grocery stores) and make a list of items that are great prices. Those items I price match at the register myself, then after I finish shopping I scan my receipt with the app. Since August I am up to $90 in savings on the app in addition to the at the register savings. I shop at Walmart weekly and spend between $100-$150( I have been really stocking up on great sale items).

I check the ads online. In Richmond, VA I look at Kroger, Martins, Food Lion, Target, CVS, and Walgreens. Because of the doubling, I've looked for stuff where the price difference between the store ad and Walmart's price is the biggest. Last two weeks Kroger had goldfish for $0.99. Walmart sells them for $1.98. So they're basically free (except for tax) by the time Walmart doubles the savings. I have had times when they don't catch a sale that is clearly advertised and when I send savings catcher an email they always claim they are right (last week they told me the pepperoni I bought was 7 oz. and the one on sale at Kroger was 6 oz. and when I looked the pepperoni I bought at Walmart was 6 oz. and I called and they acknowledged it was the same product but have yet to match it) so if I plan on buying 10 bags of goldfish, I'll buy one to make sure they match it and once I get confirmation, I go back and buy another 9. Walmart is very close to my house and on my way to work and to the kids' activities, so it's easy to drop in a few times each week.

See that is the stuff I do at the register b/c I want to buy a ton and I know then I am getting the price and don't have to hope the app catches it. I always bring my ads with just in case too(but only on a really good deal was once asked to show proof). Are you talking about the blue bird offer when you refer to the doubling? I looked into that and it has horrible reviews on credit Karma and many other consumer sites so I too nervous to chance it with all of the problems I read online. I did do a trial redemption when I had $30 in my account just to make sure it was easy to redeem and walmart sent me and email with a bar code they scanned at the register and the money came right off my bill.

Yes. The Blue Bird has been great for this IMO. Also, because I had it I got 3 $10 credits on Small Business Saturday. But the doubling stops at the end of this month and once that happens I'll go back to buying most of my groceries at Kroger.

I know that doubling to Bluebird was supposed to stop on 2/28, but I just redeemed $2.06 to my bluebird account and it still doubled! Yay!!!

Was the receipt date in February? We had a decent sized shopping trip on Sunday March 1st that is still "price matching." When that's done, I'll let you all know if it still doubles!

Sorry for the silly question but I don't see exactly how to get my balance amount of $9.00 to an egift card to print out. Can someone help me? Thanks!

Love..love...love my savings catcher. I have used 30 cashed in and have another 36 saved. I did not realize that if you put it on a bluebird card you double cash back. Will cash in april before our trip for last minute needs hope to double it this time.

I use phone app and the day before I know I am going to Wal-Mart will cash in and all I need to do is let them scan my phone bar code I get in email ....2 seconds and cash back.

OOPS! It was dated 2/28, I thought it was 3/1 because that's when I scanned my receipt.:o
Still hoping your receipt is doubled!

So I got my savings of $1.97 back from the 3/1 receipt, and it didn't even give me the option to transfer to bluebird account, let alone double it. The only option was transfer to e gift card. I tapped that on the app- thinking it would prompt me to choose Bluebird, but now it just says my eGift Card has been created and I'll recieve a notification when it is ready to be used.

I have always price matched at the register but decided to give the ap a try because I was feeling guilty for taking so much time to check out. The first one I did a few weeks ago went pretty well. There were a few things that didn't match to the price I had but to one that wasn't as good. It wasn't that much so I decided not to argue.

This last week, it only matched one item for $0.68. The rest of the items on the receipt are under the "Not Matched". I looked at the link and it says that they won't do produce, meat, deli, general merchandise and a bunch of other categories.

Their price match policy includes these categories so from now on, I will be going back to my old ways and doing all of the price matches at the register.

Also, this time they compared to 17 stores. Last time it was 31! Both receipts were from the same Walmart store. How do I see which stores they compared to?
