Walmart parking lot??

I like the lumber at Lowes.

I like the tools at Sears.

I like the chili at Wendy's.

I like the beer almost anywhere.

I like the cornbread and chili at TE.

I like the Kungaloosh at my campsite.

I like FWgirl.

I like my truck.

I like Mickey the Wonder Beagle.

I like most of you guys.

We almost always carry our Honda generator with us so if we have to we can dry camp anywhere.

Thanks BigDaddyRog, I thought I saw an IAFF sticker on your truck in another post. But it may have been BigDisneyDaddy and I got confused. Yes we can be certified crazy for our work. Just yesterday my crew and I were first in on a large house fire. We fought for over an hour and saved a lot of the home. I love the job and certainly don't do it for the money. Unfortunately our city pays bus drivers more than fireman. I transfered over from the police department 11 years ago. Its nice to have a job that when you show up people are actually happy to see you.

About the drinks. I really pefer Gentleman Jack and coke. But I figured a beer was easier to offer. Take care and hello to the other firefighters here. I am looking forward to my first Fort trip.

You should move to Canada and join the department just about anyplace here our FF's are paid very very well. My FIL is a PC and makes just under 120K a year even the rookies start out at about 45K a year.

I like FWgirl.

I like my truck. I hate mine

I like Mickey the Wonder Beagle. I miss my dog :(

I like most of you guys. Which ones dont you like?

Just wondering?

Just wondering?

There was one I locked horns with a few years ago, but they haven't posted in a while. I guess that would be it.

If I am at my campsite, anyone is invited. The Magic Bullet is always ready for a workout.

Don't laugh but thats about what I make with nearly 20 years seniority. I wish I could leave. But I have stuck it out and I'm 8 months from locking in my 20 year retirement. After that I'm leaving the profession. Its sad what they expect us to survive on here. My department starts rookies at about 28,000 and we only get raises of 5 pct about every two years. I honestly don't know a Firefighter or Policeman here that does not work two or three jobs. I have a full time side job on my off days and I'm also in the National Guard. Thats the only way I can get by with a little extra to spent on Disney trips.

From my experience this is the norm throughout the south. Many people are leaving now to work in private industy doing the same job for much more money. Our turnover rate is getting plum ridiculous.

Can one of you please tell me how you get the images in your signature to go side-by-side instead on on top of each other. I just changed my signature and its apparently too long now and got edited by staff. Darn

You have to put them in side by side. Just don't put any spaces between your images. Does that make sense?

No sorry it does not really make sense. I will try again but it still stacks the images and avitars.

Okay I got it to put the pictures side by side. No is it possible to get some space between the pictures so my titles make sense ???

We head to FL from Minnesota in the dead of winter so stopping for us does not happen on the first day anyway. Too cold to stop to sleep for a few hours.

We map out our route to get as close to Flying J's as possible. Most have a great RV area (far away from the trucks) and they offer fuel, dump stations, water to fill tanks, and air all near the RV gas lanes. They also have a place for a meal too. They even came out and jump started my generator battery that was dead.

I don't stay at rest stops only because I cant seem to talk myself into it. Never tried a walmart either.

This year when we travel in the summer I may give a walmart a try but hope to find a city, county, or state park if possible.

Happy Travels all

You can include me on this one. Target is very Un-American. A look at the list of charities they support would turn most stomachs.
I know this is going to sound redundent - Just add spaces between the pictures with the space bar (not the enter key).

No I understand that and I'll try it. Sometimes the simple annswer is the correct one. Thanks.

Okay great that part worked now I gotta figure out how to get the words over the second picture.

We have taken several trips and have stayed at Walmart maybe a dozen times. My husband always goes in and asks the manager. We have only been turned away from one. We always go in and spend a little in the store we stay at as a thank you. (Not that our money makes much difference) The managers always thank us for asking and wish everyone would. Oh and most of the Walmarts had no parking overnight signs! Hope this helps you. :)

Use the "increase indent" button .....its right next to the globe with the chain link

I tried that and dont see any difference. Was I supposed to do something after I hit that ??? All I want to do it move the other title over the Tink pic.

Back on topic... I stayed in the Walmart Parking lot at Lake City. It was the first time I did this and it worked out really great for us. I left to go to FW after work arouind 5pm and got there around 10. We got a good night sleep and the next morning were leaving early. It really work out good since pulling out of the parking lot I had a flat tire:scared1: which I'm glad that happened there and not on the road.. The guys at the tire center were very helpful in getting me fixed up and on the road!
