We just got back from Fort Wilderness on 8/1. We had read on these boards that many people go to the Walmart on 192 for groceries and supplies. I had no idea how far away that Walmart is. From our campsite to the Walmart was 40 minutes one way. We had been to the one on Sandlake Drive and I really think that it is just as close as the one on 192. There is so much construction on 192 that it really wasn't worth the trip. If you go to the one on Sandlake drive (off of I-4) it is very close to the Belz Outlets, a Big K and a huge mall. For my time and shopping needs I would highly recommend heading in that direction. The selection was the same at both stores and a quick trip to the Disney Outlets was well worth it for our souvenier budget. Just thought that I would share our experience with you.

The Wal-Mart you are referring to is at the corner of Sand Lake and John Young Pkwy.

Go easstbount on Sand Lake Road and it is a few miles (maybe 5-7) down on the right.

I agree. We skipped Wal Mart this year because of the construction. It seems like they will never finish.

To avoid most of 192 you could take Osceola Parkway to 535 and come out at 192. You don't avoid all of 192 but you do miss a good part of it.

Thanks for the info. We'll try that one in December. I hate to construction also. What a nightmare?
