Is there a bus service that goes to the Walmart store across the motorway/ big road (haha) which you can see from the Econo Lodge (formerly Best Western?)?

We have got a taxi in the past and we only normally take one trip there but it's still expensive with a taxi, if we can avoid it and get a bus service (even with changes) that would be far better

I have'nt been for 5 years but I can remember getting a bus to Walmart from I-drive.

If you look on the lynx bus timetable website you may find the details there.

Obviously, no car. Does that mean you get the shuttle buses to the parks?

How do you find these?

To be honest, we usually drive ourselves but have used the disney bus when we stayed at all stars hotel. That was bad enough.

Oh no, you must have had a bad experience. We have never had any hassles with Disney buses and rarely wait more than 10 minutes for one.

In fact the All Stars was the best bus service ever. Hope you give it another go sometime. :goodvibes

If your hotel has shuttle buses they will tell you at the front desk where to get them and they usually run on a schedule from what I understand.

No.

But you can get the bus from the intersection of Kirkman Road & I-Drive .

From the Econo-Lodge you need to catch the 8 OR the 42 Lynx bus going NORTH toward Wet'n'Wild outside your hotel.

You need to get off at the intersection with Kirkman Road - 2 blocks after you pass Wet'n'Wild and switch to the Lynx 37 (free - use your transfer).

You can do exactly the same thing on the return trip except from Walmart you don't even need to cross the street; just hop on the 37 exactly where you got off (asking for a transfer again) because it goes in a loop.

Costs $2, easy as pie :thumbsup2

I have done my last 4 trips using public transport and will continue to do so - it's MUCH better than ours here in the UK and MUCH better than Disney's bus service.

Really. We stayed at all star music a few years ago and found that the buses were infrequent and always packed full.

Lovely. We're actually staying next to Wet and Wild this time so that sounds even better - cheers for the advice, really helpful, probably saved us a bomb :D

just adding my 2 cents here...

up to now, i have been very anti-walmart...(long story, not worth getting into now)..

anyway....i wasn't at the walmart in orlando, but i went into the one near my family here in detroit (i'm still here, i head back on wednesday)....
i was only looking for DVDs, but i wandered into the clothing department...WOW!!!!!

they have tons of really cute plus-size clothes for women...

i was in there for about 2 hours buying tons of stuff and for such reasonable prices i can't believe it...i bought about 10 shirts of various types....most of them for less than $5/ each....i mean, that's practically free...
and they were really really cute..

i remember there was a thread a while back about plus size clothes....i don't recall if walmart was mentioned, but it should have been....definitely worth a visit!!! :thumbsup2

again, that was at a detroit area walmart, but i assume the orlando area stores have the same merchandise...
