Where is the nearest Walmart from AofA and any idea how much in a taxi as we won't have a car, thanks.

the adress is 3250 Vineland Rd, Kissimmee, FL 34746

taxi is around $20/$25 each way (incl. a 10% tip)

that's the one we go to but we go by Lynx no.56 from the TTC. Its only a couple of dollars each way. If you are going to buy up the shop it may not be the best option. The bus is very quick and frequent.

We buy quite a lot and find it very quick and convenient. Obviously not as quick as a taxi but a saving of around $42 I personally think its worth the extra time involved. I must add that I do actually plan my Walmart trips into my holiday...I love going there.

You could bus it there and taxi it back.

Thanks both. So would there be taxis waiting outside walmart (at a reasonable time in the evening i.e before 9pm) or would you need to book one?

Also is Transportation Ticket Center at Magic Kingdom?

My DFi went to the Walmart on Turkey Lake Road from Pop Century, and it cost $35 each way with tip. Not cheap, and it was further than she thought, but much more convenient because we bought a lot of stuff there, which would have been impractical on the Lynx bus, although much cheaper.

On the return journey for booking the taxi, she used an app on the iPhone for Mears, and you can order the taxi that way.

Thanks for the tip. We're frequent users of the Lynx buses but we always get a taxi to Walmart, for some reason. Could you tell me how close the bus stop is to the entrance please? Do you have to cross any busy roads?

for the Lynx accessible walmart, the bus stop is right in front of the parking lot's entrance (same sidewalk) when you go, but going back to the hotel, you'll have to cross the 192 to get to the bus stop (pedestrian crossing, but it's the 192 so it's busy ... )

This one can be reached by Lynx 56, but will cost over $30 one way (taxi)

oh yes....its the VINE bit that I mis-read...

Its still huge in there though...we stop mid way around the store for a portion of Mcdonald's fries!!

Its right outside the entrance same side of the road...you just walk across the parking lot. The return stop is also right across from the store so you do have to cross the 192 but the crossing works well and you get a fair amt of time to leg it across..Just by that bus stop is a Aldi or Lidl (can't remember which now)...I was temped to go and have a look to see if it was any different. Might do it this year.

This is a great thread. I was so tempted to buy from garden grocer because of the high taxi fare. Our first or second night will now be a trip to wallmart. Do they charge for kids? One will be 12 one 8. I will take one of our trolley cases as want quite a bit to stock up on

7 - 18 pay half price ($1 instead of $2)

note that you need change for the exact fare
drivers can't make change
