Lucky ... the carts are never on sale at the Wal-Marts near me. Always around $60. The only cricut items I buy at WM are mats.

Actually, it isn't quite as lucky as you may think. Granted, $30 for cartridges are a great deal, but there's a reason they're getting put on clearance there. I had a long conversation with the craft department manager of my local store recently. We were discussing how much craft inventory (especially fabric) has depleted in all the Walmarts lately (one doesn't even HAVE fabric anymore). She told me that corporate's ultimate goal is to pretty much eliminate nearly all of the crafts in all of the stores and eventually only have a very few stores with any fabric at all. So, when they start the clearance on all this stuff and wiping a bunch of it out, it makes me sad because that means they're getting closer to their goal. :-(

I had to go to Walmart the other day, and I peaked over at the scrapping section and I finally saw clearance cartridges. But only 2 were on clearance: Cutting Up and Printing 101. The other ones were full price. I was a good girl and didn't buy either, since we are now actively house hunting.

The walmart I shop at is currently in the middle of a remodel and the craft section has been downsized major. They have the $30 carts and also had
Indie Art, Basketball and a couple others marked down to $22.
None of them I needed.

I was able to get the pens - black and browns on sale for $7.00
and they also had a colored set with pinks and blues also for $7.00
