As far as the Gameboy, I would bet it is for the regular GB advance. The Gameboy SP is a newer model and will probably not be going on sale.

Thanks for posting this! Gameboy Advance is listed at about 50% off of the price they are right now. I actually bought it a few weeks ago to put away for my daughter for Christmas and paid $79.95. I kind of debated because I figured they would be cheaper at Thanksgiving. It's unopened so I may return it and try my luck on BF!

You probably got the GBA SP for $79.99- it is the newer and better model. Just keep the one you have.
(The differences between the 2 are the style, and SP has backlit display and comes with re-charger or AC adapter thingy)

FYI -

For several years I worked for a big chain store that price-matched, BUT they would NOT price-match time specific (ie 6am - 10am) or one-day sales. Just the normal weekly sales circulars from competitors.

They would also limit stock if they knew a competitor was planning a big sale. Back when Furbys were extremely popular, everytime a competitor had a sale on them, they would only stock 20 or so on the shelves that week (for the whole week, not per day) and backstock the rest until the competitors sale was over.

SO... if you are thinking about trying to get someone to price-match definitely get the specifics ahead of time.

I wonder if there's any chance that could be the Gameboy SP-- which I bought DS just a little while back. Does Walmart even sell the other gameboys anymore? I thought when I bought the SP-- it was the only model they were currently carrying.

Does anyone know if Target will be having anything similiar? We love going to the early bird shopping on Black Friday. Last year we stood in the pouring rain for 2 hours to get an awesome deal on our digital camera. I'm so looking forward to doing this again this year!

TRU usually has a bundle of some kind don't they? I think with a game? We got ours TRU exclusive gold last year w/ free earbuds and mario bros. The SP is definately superior to the Advance. But there is a new gameboy coming in late Nov. So the SPs may really go down.

I am pretty sure it is not the sp on sale. Yes- Walmart does still sell the original GBA. If it was the SP I think it would say so.

There is in fact a new gameboy coming out Nov 22nd I believe. Anyhow, the gentleman at EB Games today (they had the new one on display), said the GBA will not be marketed after the new one is for sale later this month. He said the SP's will drop in price too. As the new models are only $50 more than the SP's are currently.
