Ok sorry if this has been asked. Does anyone if walmart will price match another store black Friday ad? Sears has the black WII for 99.00 but I will have to be at walmart at that time so if they will do it then I can just get it there. :goodvibes

We price match BF ads at WalMart every year.

Some stores/cashiers are picker than others. Some say that if it's a special edition/special packaging, that it has to match the comparison exact.

That's hard to do sometimes, since some items are sold at different store, by packages differently for each individual store.

Thank you so much for the response it is just a regular one and the picture is just the plaine box. That will be great and so much easier for me!

I've had hit and miss luck price matching at WM on Black Friday. Last year they told me they would not price match "gimmicks". They refused to price match TRU's DS game sale, it was deemed a gimmick.

It can be done. In NC, the Walmart required you to have the ad in hand in order for them to price match. I hope they do it again this year. It saved me alot of time, money, and gas. I didn't have to run all over town to different stores for Black Friday deals.

I worked at Walmart for 9 years.

You do have to have the ad on hand.

Walmart will ad match any ad from a direct competitor. But it has to be exactly the same. As long as it's the exact same item and the competitor is within a specific distance. If the ad were on a black Wii with two controllers, they would not give you a white Will with two controllers.

I was the Toy Manager for a five years and got cussed out multiple times for not letting customers have the $10 Barbies for the $5 Blitz price.

The distance thing used to be 50 miles but can be the Store Managers discretion. At the store I worked at there was not a Target in town but there was one 30 miles away. Since most of the people who shopped at our store would be unwilling to drive to the Target, the Store Manager wouldn't allow an ad match even if it was the same item unless the customer threatened to call Home Office.

9 times out of 10, if you call the Walmart Home Office you'll get exactly what you want even if you are totally in the wrong. I've seen the Store Manager have to call a customer that cussed out a cashier and apologize and then give them a $50 gift card.

I don't condone abusing the associates.

Can you do this at any register or do you have to take it to customer service? Linda :)

I did last year on Tag reading books at the register- but they would only do the titles shown in the other stores ad-

You might ask your local store what their policy is. Last year our store had a sign on all the game cabinets that said they would not be unlocking cabinets during the black Friday rush. They are normally so busy with whats going they don't have time to go to the cabinet to unlock it.

Any register as long as you have the ad. If the store has good CSMs and Management the ads are already on the registers or at the CSM podium and the cashiers are already aware.

Don't try it at an outlying register like Electronics, Automotive, or the Garden Shop, you will most likely wait forever for a CSM or Manager to come approve the override.

At my store we were under orders to unlock the game cases and just let them go.
