I was at MK today and the walls around the hub are partially down. As you look at the castle the walls are still up on the left hand side.

It looks very nice and loads of people were taking their picture in front of the Partners statue.

Great job Disney.

The pictures are in the Walls come down album.

Great photos! Thanks!

I can say that I think from what Im seeing in those photos, Disney is doing a great job! They seem to have added ALOT, wait, A WHOLE LOT of walking room to where it wont be so jammed there.

Also, it's sort of odd because the hub looks eerily similar to the area just around the train station.

Thank you so much for continually updating us with your pics.

I am loving each new set.

I have a job that most of it I do from home. I do travel around the country for work most of the year but happen to be in a slow period.

Last year I lived in FL. for 10 of 12 months and went to the parks 86 times. I think I may beat that record this year.

I've been lurking for a while but I've enjoyed your updates. So I wanted to thank you for all your great pictures.

Did it seem like the rest of the walls would come down anytime soon?

Thank you so much for updating us. We will be there on 3/2 and I was wanting to get pictures by the statue. :Pinkbounc :cheer2:

The castle looks really pretty.

Cheers Safetymom,
I am only going on 9 April - 23 April and it was on my mind that these walls could have been up well into my visit.

So what have they done behind the walls?

Obviously you have taken those photographs today.

Can you therefore give us an up to date on the spot weather report?

It looks lovely and sunny but i notice that people are wearing a whole range of different clothing eg some have jackets and sweatshirts on and others have shorts and T-Shirts on. Is it hot?? Bear in mind that i consider anything over 70F to be hot and anything over 61F to be nice and warm! :sunny: :sunny:

Whisky In A VAse, the pictures will show what has been done. There is no curb to step up on the hub. The flower beds match the rest of the MK areas.

The on the spot weather had some people cold and looking for jackets and other people in shorts.

I was comfortable in jeans and a t shirt. If you were coming from a cold climate it would feel very warm to you. A jacket would have come in handy.

The weather is going to warm up again after today. It's still a beautiful day for being in the parks.

jovidan, I don't find being able to go to the parks when I want has taken away any of the magic. I have been many many times and I am still excited when I go through the turnstiles.

I was reminding my son the other day that is away at school when he moves back to FL. he can go to the parks when he wants too. Sometimes we just go over to watch a parade, show, or just to walk around and see what's new or how crowded it is.

Moving to FL hasn't changed my Disney experience. It has made it better because I can slow down to enjoy some of the subtle Disney touches.

Great, only 1 week to go.
It is beautiful here today as well, sun is shining but the wind chill is keeping the tempertures down. You could not step outisde without a winter coat however, never mind a jacket. I think its about 45F outside which isn't bad for the time of year, but snow and freezing temperatures are on there way next week.
So, when i leave the snow behind, anything above 60-70F will be just fine :sunny:

I totally agree! DH and I have been working from home the past 4 months and we go the parks several times a week! We were at MK yesterday and the walls were still up. We may have to go check it our today. Maybe Monday we wanted to go to MGM today:)

Looks good!

I like that thy took the time to "dress up" the walls a little by using the soft green paint, the lantersn and the flower baskets. It doesn't look so "construction-y".

That time will be here before you know it. Then it will be time to plan another trip. :)

Another "Thank you!", Safetymom for your continued updates and helpful posts!! :cool1:

And to VacationDad...Welcome to the DIS!!

Thanks for the photo update. It's really looking nice there!

I appreciate the updates, too...thanks, safetymom!

Oh thank you for the updates!! I was kinda upset that those walls were gonna be up infront of hte castle. I leave for florida tomorrow. :) Now i'm excited!! :)
