I think I put another version of this theme on the wrong thread (new posts?), so I think it needed to be here on trip planning, cause that's what it is!
I start my planning with trying to get into shape to be able to walk all over Disney parks, to the bus stops, and from bus stops to the gates!!! I am 64 years young, but have fibromyalgia and arthritis, so excess walking is not something I naturally do:) So about 10 months before our trip to WDW in November of 2013, I joined a gym and started walking the treadmill. The personal trainer tried to get me on a "fitness program", but I told him I only wanted to be able to walk farther with more stamina. So I do the treadmill 3 x a week. That's my goal, but in reality about once a week depending on my fibro flare ups. I also have cut down on helpings, cut out sweets, along with the treadmill and have lost 15# so far:banana: Since I'm not the athletic type, this a great achievement for me! So, my trip prep involves increasing my walking so I can enjoy the magic :wizard: of Disney with my hubby of 46 years. Losing the weight was a bonus:hug: All the extra walking helped a lot with navigating the parks, etc, and was definitely worth it! Going again in November this year:yay:
