walking to Epcot from Board walk

I see its only a 5 minute walk from Board walk resort to Epcot but I hear you enter via world showcase which does not open until 11 00 am. So how do you enter Epcot if you want ot get there at 0900 for opening. / Is there another walk way to get there ?

You are allowed to enter the WS area just prior to 9am...maybe as early as 8:50ish. Then, you just walk through, and exit towards the Rose Garden area, or along the main walkway bridge. It will be very obvious which way to go...CMs are stationed to direct you. Then, when you get to the fountain area, you are held until the park is officially opened.

They stopped doing rope drop at Epcot and DHS a few months ago and you now just flow right into the park. Haven't used the IG since they switched procedures, so I don't know how it works there exactly, but that's how it's working at the main gate.

One thing I would note, it's probably more like 10 minutes from Boardwalk rather than 5. But it is super convenient.

It's closer to 5 minutes than 10 minutes, unless you are a really slow walker or walking with kids that slow you down.

Just got back 2 weeks ago from our first bwv stay. Its literally an 8 minute walk from village green or main lobby. Its about a 4 minute walk from bcv though. HS from main pool area was about 11 or 12 minutes. Both are real easy. Perfect t location if u ask me have fun.

You can enter the world showcase entrance at the same time as the front gates open. There is a rope and a cm to keep you from taking a right over the bridge into France. You can walk through Uk and Canada to future world.

As people have mentioned, anywhere from 5-10 minutes from BW. When we went in January, they let us in through the WS about 10 minutes early and let us go straight to Soarin'. There was no rope stopping us from going into the park past WS.

thanks to all We do not mind a walk to EPCOT or Studios. Most days I walk 2 miles to the Railway station so 20 or 30 minute walk to Dis studios will be easy. Last time I found the buses OK (POPS) but it wil be better this time .. just a walk without lining up for buses.

Just hope crowds will be ok 18th May out 25th may (just miss memorial day weekend) According to DADS Disney page on the net crowds will be OK

I've got some great shots of EPCOT and Boardwalk from walking to the resort. Ts also a nice boat ride too.
