Walking grand Floridian to Poly?

Can you still walk from Grand Floridian to the Poly? I thought I had read the path was closed at one point but can’t find anything recent. If so, how long is the walk from Grand Flo to Trader Sam’s? Thanks!

You can walk but the path is along the road. It’s not scenic and has little shade.

I suggest just using the Monorail.

The monorail will stop at MK, Contemporary and TTC before the Poly, while the resort launch goes from the GF to the Poly to MK. So if you decide not to walk, I'd recommend boat there and monorail back.

We did the walk at night so shade wasn't an issue but it's not well lit so it was kind of sketchy, it was 11pm on a week night so there wasnt a soul around. If I wasn't at Disney there's no way I would have gone down the path. Boat there and monorail back would have been better.

We did the walk at the end of June to get to Kona Cafe for breakfast. The walk wasn't that bad and is along the road.
