Walking from the park

Hello:

Staying at the park and wondering can you walk to anyplace outside the park? Won't have a car. Curious if you can get to any eating places or stores or hotels? I assume not, but my assumptions have been proven erroneous in the past. I don't mind walking, tho a "hearty" distance would not take the kids.

It depends on how of a hearty walker you are. There are shops along Kirkman Drive, but that is about 1/2 to 1 mile away. The main strip is I-Drive, which is a little further. You may want to look into public transportation, like the bus system Lynx at www.golynx.com if you are not a hearty walker.
